ℹ️ Heads up...
This is a popular topic that is fast moving Guest - before posting, please ensure that you check out the first post in the topic for a quick reminder of guidelines, and importantly a summary of the known facts and information so far. Thanks.
Most of it was my own research, mainly involving listening through various old sound libraries from around the time and finding any that match up, as well as assistance from a couple friends of mine, and that email I received from Graham after contacting him and posted in this thread a couple...
Graham didn't really use a specific synthesizer for his sounds (aside from sometimes using his Roland D-550 like in Black Hole's main track). Rather he used a hardware sampler (AKAI S1000 to be extract, though he'd later on own newer models) and loaded various audio CDs that had each sound laid...
Unrelated to my findings research, but I've recently found Charlie composer John Marsden's soundcloud, which has some of the music used for Charlie in high quality, including an unused track.
Boarding the Boat (Unused) - From the name, I'm guessing this was intended to be played in the interior...
Hi all. Been nearly a year but I thought I'd post another update on me AT music instrument sample findings progress.
Since my last post, I've made some new findings. A LOT of new findings. So much so I don't think I could jot them all down here, which is why I've been working on a spreadsheet...
Time for another update me thinks.
Thanks to waffa, I think I've managed to finally locate the correct(?) sample library that the Nemesis string spiccatos are from, that being Masterbits Peter Siedlaczek's Orchestra, which released back in 1988. (SPIC G#3-D6). I had about 50 test hearings on...
(Edit: Removed a few sound links due to them still being legally available and purchasable)
Oh blimey waffa! You've certainly turned a boring day around. :D
I can indeed confirm that Duel used Spectrasonics Hans Zimmer Guitars Vol. 1 (128-JACKHAMR | Partition H > 128-JACKHAMR) and Gloomy Woods...

Told you I'd be back. Over this month, I've made a huge realisation that reveals a lot of the sources for the music of a specific ride, which we'll get to in a moment.
Let's get the less exciting...

Hi there forks and knives. I thought I'd go ahead and share some music/sfx source discoveries from months of pointless research. Basically these are where the instruments or sound effects were taken from...
Just retheme it back to Air. Can't be too hard. Just tear down that giant portal thing and repaint everything light blue, and maybe just to please those people who kept complaining about Air's tunnel, paint a big smiley face on the ground saying "There, you happy now TowersTimes?".
I doubt it will have VR since it's a water ride, but I can already imagine what it would be like. If you take off the goggles, it's just a mess of all the leftover Bubbleworks props and even the music would still be playing. Can get rid of those CD players, too expensive.
Someday, I would love to see a maze that uses the original Haunted House soundtrack.
Oh wait I forgot. This is Merlin. They don't want anything that's silly, that will ruin the horror. Everything's got to be serious. SERIOUS!
From the looks of things, the only item I think hasn't been touched are the giant feet. I originally thought the bookcase, but I noticed it was painted differently in it's original incarnation.
Sigh. I'm still looking forward to the day I somehow build a time machine and go back in time to...
Chessington have just released the auction catalogue for the Bubbleworks props.

I've got dibs on the giant feet. Hopefully my 1p bid will get me it.
Well it was themed as a European brewery that was really a pop factory.
I wouldn't count on it. At the moment, I have no faith in the retheme as I'm imagining it's just going have still models (because Merlin thinks animatronics are so last-gen) and lack any love and imagination found in...
I've quickly re-read the Gruffalo just so I can remember what happens, and I'm not sure how you would able to make a ride out of it using Bubblework's transit system.
Plus, someone who knew about Bubblework's closure first, also posted a video showing the gruffalo logo placed on Bubbleworks. Unfortunately, the video has been removed.
I guess they spent so much money into TLC, they couldn't even afford to buy a decent camera... or lightbulbs in the Monorail station.
Jokes aside, I've loved the TLC updates and I'm looking forward to seeing them in person on my next visit.
