It worked perfect on the old trains as they didn't have the seat belt, but it was still tackled well most the time on the current trains. Up to 6 Staff would run the platform and as the train came round the corner into the station they'd lean out and undo belts that people hadn't undone. The...

    PortAventura: General Discussion

Queue-times.com Crowd Calendar useful to use, as you can see the equivilent date last year or so. Assuming it's the Tuesday, here is last years. I'd say the Stampida queue time was an input error. https://queue-times.com/parks/19/calendar/2023/04/18

    Plopsaland De Panne General Discussion

Strange that I've been twice to Plopsaqua with the usual baggy swim shorts and pockets and never had issue. Guess I just got lucky. Places in France however seem stricter on it and enforce from previous experience

    Thorpe Park: General Discussion

Awesome signage that really brings the area to life! Let's hope that everyone manages to leave their permanent markers, pens and scratching devices at home and it's not ruined within two weeks!

    Thorpe Park: General Discussion

Previous two seasons and until June Nemesis Inferno played it's original before reverting back to the Jungle Imascore this June, whereas Colossus last season went back to its original. Nevertheless, Thorpe Socials confirmed that the Island theme will be going with the new logo and rebrand, with...

    Ride Availability/Operations 2022-24

Agreed, have warned friends going what tomorrow will bring! Same down south at Thorpe. They are sadly not believing what I tell them and just interested in whether rides will open or not!

    Ride Availability/Operations 2022-24

Could be true as historically that has seemed to be the case, but given the information on Thorpe's site stating 5 for almost everything I'm wondering if Towers could now be the same...

    Ride Availability/Operations 2022-24

Tomorrow isn't going to reach 5 degrees potentially until 10am, do people think this will result in a huge delays to ride opening as that's the minimum operating temperature of most rides, resulting in testing not even being able to happen before then? It is also due to drop below 5 degrees by...

[2024] Thorpe Park: Hyperia - Mack Hypercoaster

Have you been in the last couple of years? Last couple of seasons Thorpe is overall by far outstanding in it's ops compared to all the other Merlin Parks and have yet to have a visit bar one this last two years without the 2 train coasters on less than that. Agree with the above. The one train...

Haven't B&M just announced a swinging suspended family coaster for Busch Tampa? 😜

    UK Water Parks

Yes, last august on a 34 degree day and the Waterpark was rammed with many of the 7000 sunbeds being used and queues to the bottom of the slide towers. Then again this year a couple of weeks ago. Weather was 22 degrees and the Waterpark was empty, must have been around 500 using it. So id...

    Plopsaland De Panne General Discussion

And here we can't even be trusted to stand in the bays for the monorail, or down at CWoA wait in a station with secure tall gates whilst a new launched coaster launches! 😂

    Mini European Road Trip 28/7 - 4/8

Rather surprising for Europa! I have always wondered how they do the bigger maintenence jobs that may require some draining of pools considering it's open almost all year. Guess they will struggle in this area. Great trip report!

[2024] Alpenexpress & Tiroler Wildwasserbahn Rebuild

With the rides excellent throughputs of 25 to 35 seconds i'm not sure they would need to go to all that effort for a second train. Though it would still increase it slightly.

    Chessington World of Adventures Resort

Had they not cannibalised the 3rd train this would never happen. Should never be in this position. This park is looking so fresh at the moment but run so poorly! Tiger Rock also only on 12 boats, used to run 20 plus!

    Chessington World of Adventures Resort

Really liking the look of this now, and think it will overall have a better selection of attractions than Splash Landings.

    Chessington World of Adventures Resort

Well there goes their plan to have 1 minute dispatches which were mentioned early on in planning. Now going to be more 4 minutes if batching only to take place after unloading. Be lucky to get a throughput of 400 now! Can see many disappointing guests as we move into height of summer. Perhaps...

    Energylandia (Poland): New Coasters

The park reached 1.8 million visitors in 2022, so I think it would have turned a profit, though yes their running costs must be high as there were loads of staff, theres tonnes of rides, the car show, the pools etc all to take care of.

To be fair I live in a southern London Borough and am also Greater London but my address states Surrey as the county.

    Thorpe Park: General Discussion

It is the ride with the 4th lowest wind speed allowance! And also one of fe rides that closes in heavy rain. Stealth which is painful in rain can happily carry on running though! https://www.thorpepark.com/plan-your-visit/resort-information/ride-availability-weather/
