It looks terrible.
I'm sorry, but it has to be said.
How utterly depressing. Nothing says childhood wonder like grey brick, and cut down trees.
Even Blackpool looks better
"Well it's a good start, I'll be back in a months time when the other half's finished and the temporary fence is down."
"This is it."
*Books visit to Phantasialand*
I have to agree, it's Terrible
So you enter the dungeons and exit from the charlie building (un-changed themeing on the right)
Alton do like their wooden fences, I'm surprised that they haven't started to sell off cuts of that too in the shops
So when this wood rots away and falls off, the old CATFC exterior will become all too visible for people to see. Hahahahahahaha.
Twenty says it's less scary than House of Monsters!
The more I see it the more I like it
What's wrong with me!?
That strange mist you get in scarefest mazes...you didn't breath it in did you?
Just remember, folks. Second to Disney!
It looks like something an independent park would have erected in the 80s/90s. Whether that's a good or bad thing is down to perception.
Personally I think they've probably half-assed a needless addition to the park.
I literally cannot wait for Paulton's Park to take a dump on Merlin's theming standards next year.
It looks like the entrance to a travelling ghost train. In fact, that would be an insult to travelling ghost trains.
What a car crash.
Burger Kitchen just having grey paint slopped over it, job done? How depressing.
It looks like a standard, present day Merlin midway through and through to me. Alton Towers was an independent park in the early 80s and we got Around The World's exterior, still much better than this. Doom & Sons was a really cool exterior.
The only slightly redeeming thing about this exterior is it looks so bad you can only hope it's meant to be temporary? And that the Dungeon will be a 5 year thing at most? Dunno
5 year thing, I'm hoping it bombs and is gone by next season
Don't worry. It will.
It's not even that the entrance itself is bad, the issue lies in the complete lack of both with the rest of the building being untouched...
Like, what's the point if the rest of it looks like turd...
What a load of ****
It’s not as terrible as some people are suggesting but it isn’t exactly good. Particularly as they have left some Charlie theming to the left of the building.
It may be wishful thinking but it does look a bit like a temporary facade has been placed over the existing building. I suspect the attraction is intended to be relatively short lived, the scenes are not exactly going to be hard to remove and the boat ride was already there and can remain for a future project.
Please please please let this be the case!
