Alton Towers coasters offride photography (Photo Heavy)

Ok, who likes taking photo's of Alton's coasters ? I know i do ! I have quite a library of off-ride photography building up on my computer, it's becoming quite an addiction on every visit and the only place i really share them is on my personal facebook page, which to be honest is a waste, as only a small proportion of my Facebook friends are coasters fanatics like myself :p. So i figured why not start up a topic on Alton Towers No1 enthusiast website ( Towersstreet not TTF ;) ) and share them with people like myself :) and you can share yours with me and everyone else on the forums. All photo's must be taken by yourself and can be left as original, edited or upload both to show the transformation.

Simply post your photos of your favourite Alton Coaster or a mixture of all your best shots and let the rest of us enthusiasts enjoy them too and rate them :)

I'll start the ball rolling with 1 photo to start:

AWESOME PHOTO! :D

This. Unbelievable camera skills, the lack of blur is incredible.

And loving that only the front and back rows are taken. Clearly they're all intelligent people.

Ah! The perfect topic for me, I have a fair few shots I took the last time I visited the park. I decided to do a small study of Nemesis, presenting the photos in a more fine art black and white approach. It's something you very rarely see on photos of roller coasters, and I was interested to see how it would work. I didn't necessarily include the train in lot of them, and the monochrome seemed to increase the grandeur of the track, increasing the imposing nature of it. Here are a few:

Overall I was very pleased with how the series came out. Take a look at the rest of the set on myflickr page, where you can also take a look at my other theme park photos!

I hadn't noticed that!! What day was that? A day of beastly whoring for sure! ;D

Very nice shot, love the saturation - brings out the striking contrast between the woodland and the track :)

I've always been interested in doing HDR's of certain landscapes around the park - although I've always been put off by the fact that there'd always be someone in the shot to create a blur around the bottom :p

Well, that and the fact that I've never taken my DSLR to AT

I have a couple of shots which were taken back in May on my £60 digital camera. These photos have not been edited in any way, and if the Team wish to use them on the website, then they can do so (provided I get credited for them, of course :p).

Some part of Rita (not too sure which, and it's not the best of photos, IMO).

Nemesis' stall turn with Air's lift hill in the background. I did deliberately wait until there was a train on the stall turn in order to get a better photo, and I reckon I could've waited a little bit longer for it to be in a better position, but still, I'm very impressed with it.

A couple from me. These are all a few years old now, but I still like them. :)
