This is the most random photo to use for Oktoberfest:
Only on the inside of your body sharko.
Apologies if this has already been posted, but notice they've added Oktoberfest related FAQs. This caught my eye:
Full FAQs here: https://support.altontowers.com/hc/en-us/sections/360001772297-Oktoberfest
I personally would have preferred to have the first weekend of October as Scarefest as oppose to having the Oktoberfest. With less scarefest days, it really don't leave me much option for visiting scarefest, leaving not many quiet days to choose from and an increase chance of visiting on a non alcohol day
These women are all German.
Better still, they'll let you ride it with a raw sausage and you can cook it as you "feed the flames".......
Booked a room for this. Don't care either way, I'll be drunk and happy or drunk and don't care.
Careful @Poisson its only becks vier they will serve
It's going to be an expensive job to get plastered on Becks Vier.
That’s merlins German beer of choice, top quality. But yes your right @Doublethink lol
I'll just go to the bar near the entrance, they sell old spotty chicken in there.
More like Becks Blue! lol
I'd like to think Alton Towers will outsource this to a company that can do it justice. That would be the best way to guarantee success and allow them to bring the event back next year even bigger and better.
If they try to do this but only serve the usual pißwasser then nobody will come back next year.
It’s too early to say how they are going to pitch the actual event but Towers will never advertise something as a “**** up” as it will attract too much attention from media and ultimately this is a family resort.
Just booked the Splash Landings hotel for Fri 25th for £165 for 5 people (MAP discount). I thought that was a bargain at only £33 per person!
Umm, can they really complete the
(front facing) scarefest prep in only 5 days?
I'm still excited to see this event, but...highly anticipated sbno mazes + after dark closing + alcohol...all in a giant mansion, constructed almost entirely out of hiding places...it kind of seems like a bad combination...
They only do the non maze theming the week before the event anyway. If they are doing lighting then that can be prepped during Octoberfest.
Not sure if it's been mentioned before but Towers has confirmed that standard and premium AT season passes are valid for Oktoberfest
8.30pm close for Oktoberfest folks
And the event appears to have been extended quite drastically. 11th Sep-4Oct. 6pm closes Mon-Thurs and 8.30pm Fri-Sun.
Separate names with a comma.
