We don't have any topics for this reasonably major park!

Looopings report that the park are removing their lie-down Enterprise thing, which looks pretty grim.

Has anyone been on one of these? A replacement is expected for 2015. :)

This ride was shut when I was at Bobby.

    Park is really quite poor.

I went on Alakazam (Think it is called that) at pleasure beach which is the same type as this flat.

That is a weird version of Enterprise.

I've not been to the park personally, but I have heard 'not so good' reviews of this park.

Alacazam is at Pleasure Island, I believe. It's... different.

Done Alacazam isn't all that pleasant really, nice idea but uncomfortable and very slow loading.

I actually rather enjoyed Bobbejaanland when I visited. I absolutely loved Revolution; thought it was a fantastic ride.

It has a decent flat ride selection and the water rides were ok. However it does need an icon coaster to compliment aforementioned Revolution.

The park reminded me of Drayton Manor quite a lot (not sure if that is a good thing though !! :) )

So even cheaper than the budget ride at Movie Park. If Universal are putting one of these into IoA, I really hope they know what they're doing!

The one in Movie Park is really fab though, and impressively themed throughout...

Can't see this one being as good though...

Sorry to bump this thread, but Bobbejaanland has just announced that they are receiving a triple launch coaster for 2019! It will be manufactured by Gerstlauer and will be the tallest and fastest multi-launch coaster in the Benelux. Many enthusiasts are thinking that it will be similar to Gold Rush at Slagharen. Here's a Twitter post:

Great news! Parques Reunidos are really giving their parks love, which is nice to see!

    Good

However, an atmosphere is what this park really needs.

Is that a proper triple launch, or a "we can't be bothered to make one launch that's powerfull enough"? ;)

The latter, sadly... It's such a boring gimmick. Looks great on paper but once you're on the ride it's just dull. Full Throttle's triple launch section really killed the pacing and added nothing to it for me.

I'm not sure it's a gimmick, really? I really like this style of ride - sure it'll be fun. I'd take Gold Rush or a Sky Rocket 2 over Icon any day of the week.

I've only been to Bobbejaanland once, thought it was a cool little park. Here's a great unofficial website for the park.

In the odd circumstance, mainly where space for full launch run is limited, a multi-launch like this is necessary. Gale Force is a prime example of this. But with many coasters I get the impression it's there for marketing only and covers up the park's desire to save on paying for a more powerful launch. Full Throttle's made no sense to me whatsoever.

I do agree on Icon's launch being unfavourable to many other coasters out there with a single launch. No idea what Mack and the PB were thinking there. o_O

Not been to Bobb myself. Not heard many decent things said of the park. Perhaps this will change my feelings towards a trip involving any Belgian parks? :p

@BigAl I think this kind of concept has afforded parks who don't have the budgets for something like Blue Fire, Icon or Cheetah Hunt the opportunity to install a high thrill launch coaster.

I thought Bobbe was pretty dire. It felt like a park on its knees.

Thankfully there's this investment coming! Hooray!

I didn’t mind it, unusual place with some areas in need of love but overall it was ok. Certainly can think of worse parks to spend a few hours at.

It's an interesting take on the triple launch concept, particularly the finale (which could cause some headaches with throughputs)...

It'll be a ride beyond the mediocrity of the rest of the park... It's nice enough, but the only thing I really wanted to re-ride was Revolution for sheer WTF is the nonsense and the LU train noises it made in the station...
