So what does everyone think about this?

For reference, Merlin have announced that they are discontinuing the VIP Annual Pass. All pass holders are entitled to their benefits till the pass runs out but they won’t be able to renew subsequently the waiting list will be no longer either.

    What’s everyone’s thoughts on this?

A good move by Merlin to eradicate the whole higherarchy thing or should people be entitled to spend hundreds of pounds on passes - after all, if someone likes theme parks it’s the ultimate and ideal pass. Any pass holders care to comment too? Are you gutted or glad?

An email went out to a select few VIPs, most people did not get that email.
The first thing I knew about it was a friend messaging me, whilst I was at work-that was fun not bursting into tears...

It's been really badly communicated by Merlin.

    That’s awful.

Do you think there will be some other scheme?

I intend to ask nick about that it If see him ;)

On a serious note I don't expect one from Merlin, I hope all of the parks will offer season fastracks (like THORPE PARK Resort do).

£400, covers rides for the season including during FRIGHT NIGHTS (but mazes and paid for attractions are not included).
Go as if your going to buy a THORPE season pass then when accesso loads click annual pass.

Imagine an annual fast track, £650 all in.

I think sales would be up on them without the hassle of VIP passes (they’d be making money really)

I expect £700-800 for an all parks pass, which would still be amazing value
