Alton Towers have just posted this on their official website about a world record Swimming lesson attempt at Cariba Creek on the 18 of June.

Alton Towers said:
Be a world record breaker at the Alton Towers Waterpark - Take part in the World's Largest Swimming Lesson 2013 taking place all over the world to raise awareness about the importance of water safety and teaching children to swim.

As an official host, join us on Tuesday 18th June 2013 and splash all day for only £10.00, plus enjoy a free swimming lesson at 3pm along with the rest of the world! Last year a massive 25,000 people took part simultaneously across the world!

Boasting hundreds of fantastic interactive water features, from lazy rivers and crazy cannons to the sensational speeds of the Master Blaster water coaster, this Caribbean lagoon offers gallons of excitement for all ages!

Tickets are £10 per person for this event.

Think this generally sounds like a good idea! Although imagine how busy it would be that day? =P

It's certainly a bit different! I wonder how many people will get turned away for wearing Speedos, though... :p
