What do you think that would achieve? Waste the time of police so they can't help others? Allow you to break the laws so you can infect others? Either way what do you win?
If you want to find out what handcuffs and the inside of a police cell are like this is exactly the way to go about it. All of your neurotic dreams can come true and it'd be only your own stupid fault.

Still dumb enough to post this sort of crap. Not big enough to respond to my post. Well done you.

I don't know what you expect me to say? You've not described anything contrary to the new legislation so not a whole lot. Enjoy your walk? Maybe conversationally some educational advice that you should be shopping as infrequently as possible so popping on somewhere for milk is less preferable to stocking up with the things you need on one big shop? Like almost all police interaction the tone of that encounter would very much be dependant on your attitude and behaviour. Our starting point is educate, inform, request. It will only move on to direct and enforce if you make it that way.

China won't learn from this, they will still eat things they shouldn't. The only way they will get the message is if countries around the world so buying so much from them. I already started to stop buying Chinese goods way before this started as I don't like the way they treat animals or their own people. Going forward I think people should try and buy goods made locally, or in countries outside of China. I think the world has learnt now what China is really like with its secrecy, and that it cannot rely on the country anymore for goods, and that we must get back to making things in our own countries again.

Thanks, I will enjoy the walk.

Like you said that your view doesn't represent every officer, not every officer takes the attitude you did either, which is why there is increasing mistrust in the Police and some people do feel they are being assumed to be a criminal first, citizen second at the moment.

The way I see it, is if a person is on their own or with one other person, then there is no reason for any interaction with them at all tbh, but our local force don't seem to be sharing that view.

After reading the last few post i think everyone is getting a bit het up.

At the end of the day. The officer is a individual, and how they do their job is linked to this.

You get great coppers, good coppers and every so often a git in a police uniform.
I must be lucky that i have only had one interaction with git in a uniform.
You will get a pillock in whatever area of life you look. 99.998% of interactions with police was with a great or a good officer show that on the whole a the work force are good people.

Your opinion on that is totally wrong. Noone should be out save for the legislated exceptions. It is the polices responsibility to enforce that and they should not be derided for doing so. The attitudes of the few on here give a pretty good clue as to why this is necessary!

Yes, it is. If not for the legislated exceptions it absolutely is illegal to not be at home. What part of that are you struggling with?

Instead of spouting misplace vitriol based on out of context snippets why don't you actually read the legislation, understand what you must do and stop fighting against it? Your own ignorance is not the best starting point for an argument.

The act of driving somewhere is not in of itself the legislated exemption exercise, therefore you can not do it. Exercise is allowed, driving to leisure pursuits is not.

“Residents cannot drive to the forest and park to walk.. it has to be from and back to your front door. The police are now handing out tickets to those not taking notice of this new ruling"

Whaaaat? But there's a particular gym* I like to use in rural China, it's the only place I feel I can exercise properly. I'm allowed to exercise, the legislation clearly allows it, so of course I can drive to the airport, take a plane, hike through rural China to get to that gym, exercise, and return home. Of course will need a few stop-offs on the way in hotels etc. But the legislation doesn't say that's prohibited!!

    * - gym... hah... what's one of those...

Your quote is a correct interpretation and is in line with my point, so what are you saying? Do you concede you were incorrect?
