Its quite frankly bizarre. Amazing but bizarre.

Maybe in the coming years they will slow down on the investments and invest more into theming and improving the overall experience of the park. Shows, better park audio etc.

I don't usually like vidoes to show updates on coaster construction, however I can make an exception here:

    Wow!

Easy to forget this is only 1 of 4 new coasters for next year. The RMC clearly will be the standout new addition but I'm also intrigued to see what the new launch coaster will be like. I'm betting not too bad either. ;)

Won't be long till this park has the best top 5 in Europe. Can see them getting a monster B&M too in the next 4-5 years.
A huge Dive or Wing coaster would be my bet.

We're basically getting a Euro Cedar Point. And it's a £50 return flight away.

Flights, hotels, park tickets and food all dirt cheap.

As much as I loved my first and only trip to CP last year I'm not in a rush to go back purely because of the price to get there and the faffing about changing planes and getting trains. It's not an easy place to get to sadly.

I can see myself going out to Energylandia quite a bit tbh. If they improve the park audio and theming it could very well become the best park in Europe.

The more I see of this the more I think that it could easily be the best coaster in Europe.

Coasterporn. RMC's are beautiful looking things in fairness.

The ones built from the ground up are decent looking. But the conversions of wooden coasters are some of the ugliest coasters out there.

Of course Big One looks aesthetically pleasing but that's crap so looks don't matter :p

I can only comment on the 2 I have seen in the flesh and both are wonderful looking things. SV and Wildfire. Absolutely incredible looking structures and feats of engineering.

Different strokes for different folks though.

I've always found ALL woodies ugly, never mind these frankensteinnian abominations.
    Indeed. ;)

Definitely don't like the look of woodies that are left to rot. Blackpool's for example might be steeped in history but they look awful these days.

I love the look of a modern GCI woodie though. The view of Wickerman from the balcony bit of the queue right before you enter pre show is sublime. Never gets old for me.

I do prefer steel coasters though. Always have. B&M still top dogs for me.

Paint on woodies can hide rot, so they are better off left unpainted so any weakspots can be nipped in the bud.
There was a clear policy at Blackpool to stop painting the woodies, for this reason, though some bits of some have been painted again in recent years...big pot of orange!

This ride is looking incredible. Possibly my most anticipated ride under construction....

Has anyone stayed in any of the accommodation in the immediate area if the park? There seems to be a few places including a holiday park and a western resort, which looks interesting.

I read a trip report recently that the western resort was quite noisy due to be it being right next to the road and earplugs were recommended.

Think I’ll go next year in conjunction with a trip to Legendia, so accommodation tips would also be appreciated.

I'd recommend just booking an apartment in Katowice. Lots of really nice ones in the city centre for a dirt cheap price. Walking distance from Legendia and a daily bus to Energylandia (45mins).

    Genuinely nice city as well.

We are thinking of going over next year too around June. 1 day at Legendia and 2 at Energylandia.

Flights, hotel and park tickets are cheap as chips. Genuinely costs me more to go from Manchester to London on train and stay in the city for a few nights.
