On my last trip at Thorpe Park, the ride operator allowed me and 9 of my friends to stay on Rush 6 times in a row! Thought it was really kind for her to do so

When I was at Efteling a few years back, a kid was crying in the Joris station so operations on the ride stopped as the staff gathered around the little boy to comfort him. It extended everyone's wait by about ten minutes and knocked throughputs down a few hundred PPH, it was so great! :D

I was given 4 fast passes to ride TOT and Rock n Rollercoaster at Walt Disney Studios in Orlando by a staff member, simply because I was wearing Mickey's huge white gloves.

When I was wimping out on The Beastie at 8, the ride op said that she'd have a extra surprise if I did it. So there we were. 5 circuits non-stop. I loved it. I didn't stop then. I couldn't. I loved it so much and I came back the next year to assume that the lady had retired since she was rather old.

A coaster and memory still close to my heart this day.

Also Darren B (Daz) at Explorers complimenting me as a child by stating my obvious childish looks to get a childs plate to increase my appetite.

When visiting Orlando in 2010, I got early access to WWOHP. There was a group of about 40 of us, and whilst the majority of people whored The Forbidden Journey or the endless supply of breakfast in the Three Broomsticks, I got to re ride both the dragons, front row, on my own. I had two coasters to myself. So what did the staff have to do with this?

Despite being the only person, the staff sent both trains round the circuits to give me the full dueling effect. They allowed me to jump over to the other train to save me walking round the queue over and over again, and were some of the friendliest ride ops I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. They also said had H&S not been so much of a faff, they would have even granted me a lift hill walk [Although I did get a helicopter ride over Orlando a few days later to compensate this fact].

It was not a ride op that was good to me in Orlando but it was actually one of the guys that look after the lockers.

Myself Carla and her brother were heading to Rip Ride Rockit and there was a big queue probably about 50 mins so we decided to go and do it single riders.

As we headed towards the SRQ entrance a big guy blocked my path and asked how many were in my party. I told him that there was 3 of us but we were happy to do SRs.
He then asked me where I had got my t-shirt from
    I was wearing this

It had got some great attention off other people around the park during the day.

The locker guy was from hill valley and loved the t-shirt so he told us to go down the fast track line, 0 min wait! :D. When we came off the ride he spotted us again and gave us 6 fast track tickets to use just because of the t-shirt! What a result!

I also got this off Dr Brown.

3 circuits on RMT and Blade 4 or 5 times in a row and always getting a good Ripsaw setting.

A special thanks goes to Mr P for getting us a ride in the front of the monosnail on a meet :)

Nice for the kid, maybe, but I would not be happy with that. The bloody thing has a bad enough throughput as it is!
If a kid starts freaking out, that's their problem. Why should it hold up the thousands of people in the queue?

Don't let the kids mother read that Diogo, otherwise we could have another London eye incidence! :p

This topic makes me smile every time I see it :)

My dad and his girlfriend are soon to be getting married, and we thought it would be funny to buy them a bride and groom pair of mickey ears with their names on them from the Magic Kingdom. The staff gave us the names stitched on for free because it was for a wedding. Lovely staff at Disney.

Western politics are going through quite a radical time at the moment so I'll resurrect this to try and cheer everyone up!
    Anyway...

Last year at scarefest, it was roughly 8:30 PM and I was on my own in Hex, during the preshow, I noticed a chocolate wrapper right in the left doorway into the octagon, so, fearing someone might slip on it, I picked it up and put it in the bin before carrying on with the attraction.
When I got to the vault and sat down, some staff came out and gave me a priority pass for Wickerman...sure it caused the rides start up system to misfire and they had to do a manual reset, but, it's the thought that counts!

Sorry if I wasn't supposed to bump this thread btw!

One experience I'll always remember is on Big Grizzly Mountain at Hong Kong Disneyland. I was at the park quite early, and so managed to get a few re-rides on it by being able to go round the platform. But at the end of one ride, I was told by a very enthusiastic cast member that they decided to send a train round just for me! It was something they did spontaneously, and it was a lovely gesture.

This wasn't the only time I got good service at the park (including being given a discount when I shouldn't have and a cast member made sure I wasn't targeted in their scare maze). Hong Kong Disneyland has by far the best staff of any park I've ever visited.

On Wickerman at scarefest in the dark a kid was crying because they were feeling a bit scared. She'd been to the platform and turned around and was now stood by the disabled entrance to the station (I think?, The bit where they batch you into rows). A fantastic member of staff got down to the child's level and asked what it is that she's afraid of. Turned out she had been on before, but someone had pushed down the lapbar too tight. The member of staff reassured her that she was fine to wait here, build her courage and when she was ready she'd speak to the staff on the platform and make sure she was comfortable. I know the staff have long shifts on scarefest days, and this was last ride of the night so it was just lovely to me that she took the time to make sure that a child who was scared was able to enjoy the ride. I've seen a lot of kids turn to blubber after getting seated on the ride.

Don't know if she picked up the courage as we went onto the ride, which was fantastic in the dark.

So she wasn't scared of the ride itself, but of the pain previously inflicted on her by staff?

That seemed to be the jist, she looked only just tall enough, and the restraints only get tighter throughout the ride. I must say I've come off Wickerman with no blood in my legs after the lapbar has tightened up during the ride. (I usually sit forwards so the restraint is a bit looser when I sit up after they've checked the bars.)

At Parc Asterix in 2017 we had late night rides on Tonnerre De Zeus. We were on the last train of the night and when it came back into the station I was about to get off, only for the ops to kindly send us around again! Considering this was about half 10 at night (already after park closing) and the park staff could have easily not done this, it was a nice gesture.
