After buying a fantastic Megacoaster built by Mack rides in 2014, the small french park Nigloland has announced today that 2016 will see the opening of 2 Freefall Towers.

The 1st one will be the highest Freefall tower in France :
- Name : Le Donjon de l'extrême
- High : 100 m
- Capacity ; 700 pph
- Speed : 100 km/hm in less than 1 second
- Manufacturer : Funtime (To be confirmed)

The 2nd one, is a standart mini freefall tower for kids
- Name ; La tour des petits fantômes
- Manufacturer : Zierer
- High : 11 m
- Capacity : 400 pph

Good move, a park with a serious tower ride is alright in my book. Great park too =)

Don't know much about the manufacturer but looks like this could be a decent addition to the park. Nice to see they adding one of the much smaller Zierer towers as well to appeal to younger guests; they're great rides also!

:)

Can't say I'm not disappointed with this, I was hoping for something even bigger, but then I'm greedy like that...

Hope their major plans push through soon, it deserves success...

Rather a large bump for this topic, however as of the last couple of days parts for both rides are now on site at Nigloland ready for installation! Can't wait to see this thing rise, having visited the park back in July of last year, it really is going to look amazing nestled down in the bottom of the valley climbing skywards. I must admit it possibly will stick out like a sore thumb... But in a good sort of way ;)

The junior tower arriving on site back in December. And below the first segments of Donjon de L'Extreme arriving today!

Some more photos that put it into context a bit, really do sort of make you wonder how it got planning... It certainly wouldn't over here!

Wow, that is rather large! Hopefully it means that they might be able to build a bigger coaster at some point in the future as well!

:)

Wow that's an impressive jump in skyline height! Really surprised that it got through planning. Depends how supportive your neighbours are though I suppose ;)

Nice addition... Though I won't be returning for a while :p

I am suprised that a quaint, sleepy little French village allows this.

Haha!

My giddy aunt - that is some light set-up in the middle of rural France.

There's some pretty good theming going up for this ride as well:

And there was me just expecting them to plonk this in the park. I should have known to expect more from a park that has one of the most memorable dark rides I have ever ridden! :p
