I really think a decent indoor coaster is something the park really needs.

Blackpool got rid of Space Invader, Raptor at Lightwater is gone, X at Thorpe is a bit rubbish.

Alton could open something decent and have something nice and unique to the UK.

Here are the pictures of Submission which were from around 2015/6, sorry I don’t know the source of the photos. It was left to rot in coaster corner, I wouldn’t be surprised if it is still there to this day.

Interesting! I wonder what else is lying around in the back…

Alton Towers has surely got literally loads of stuff just lying around. I'd love to be able to have a look at all the back area's and see what they've got back there.

I worked at AT until 2018 and Submission was still there when I left. It was just to the side of BKCCL (as it was called at that point, suppose it'd be BK David Walliams Land now) - there was quite a lot of old ride bits and bobs on that access road

cheers - I vote we get a lorry a nick it - Drayton Manor would appreciate it - their lineup is somewhat diminished

Not sure about that. They've just removed pandemonium which was basically the same thing.

It was a long way from perfectly serviceable. It was made from lego and held together with jam to start with, the gearing and forces involved in the double flip was beyond the capabilites of the quality of the parts used.

It was an interesting feeling, but quite a horid contraption.

I didn’t realise how bad it had actually got - pretty bad by your description! What was it like to ride? Was it thrilling or just a bit dull? Being tossed upside down on flat rides really isn’t for me so I never rode Submission or Ripsaw. I can take inversions on coasters, it’s just something about the intensity of inversions on flats that I find quite nauseating

It was very uncomfortable to ride as well apparently.

It whipped through the inversions on the desent which was fun, but other than that it was mostly an exercise in being pined to your seat in awkward hanging positions by what felt like an unpadded lump of concrete. So not so much fun overall.

Plus for us males, it wasn’t comfortable in the crotch department.

And Submission would arguably be a downgrade from Pandemonium.

Pandemonium was head and shoulders above Submission from my expereince. It offered actual thrills, where Submission was generally too slow and painful for that.

Submission always gave me terrible head rush too!

I do miss it though, probably more for aesthetic reasons though… And I still rode it every time I visited Towers at least once!

Since its obviously the Haunted House for me, I'll chose something else for a change. How about Doom and Sons, looked like a well themed little walk through attraction.

Bit naff...completely forgettable, as I can't really recall it.

I seem to remember an uneven spongy floor, and a sign saying don't look up, which of course you did. To see a man hanging from the rafters.
