I was looking back at some old photographs when I came across many of Alton Towers. I thought some of you guys might be interested so I've taken the time to upload them for all to see. :) I may come across more and upload them here again.

Here are some Toyland Tours photos from it's first year of operation. I didn't even know I'd even been on it because I wasn't even only 1 back then but there you go! Sorry about the poor quality too. :p

This was my favourite attraction and I was very sad when I heard it had left the park. :'(


Here are four other pictures taken at Alton Towers many years ago. The first is a shot from my favourite ice show, Peter Rabbit, the second and third are of the parade taken whilst on the Swans, another ride I liked to go on when I was little (sorry for the bad quality of those two :p ). The final picture is of the Towers themselves, taken from where the hole-in-one game and the arcade stand today.

Some good photos there, thanks! It sure does bring back the memories, I used to love Toyland Tours :)
 
My Old Alton Towers Photos

Managed to find a few more old photos of me and my family at Alton Towers taken throughout the 90s. There's some photos of the Farmyard (when it had lots of animals), Squirrel Nutty before and after it opened, the Haunted House from when it was good, and Peter Rabbit on Ice.

So are all these photos from around 1996? The first photo looks great, the Haunted House was definitely repainted in brighter colours at some point.

I think they range from 1995 to 1996 as I'm noticeably younger in some of them (though that's more evident in the photos I kept for Facebook friends only :p ) and you can see that Squirrel Nutty isn't in some of the Farmyard photos.

Anyway, I'm glad you like them. :)

Look how much better Cloud Cuckoo Land looked with a street running through the middle.

They had to muck it up by paving it all over and putting in that cheap carousel.
 
The park have owned the carousel for a good while, but it was only recently painted in the most ridiculous colours they could come up with. I wish they'd kept the larger carousel with the two floors instead, but they decided to put the Driving School there which is and always will be an absolute eyesore.
 
Ok my turn for Alton Towers memories and pics, these were taken in 2002 when Air was new...
