What sports do you follow/play?

Title says it all :p I've only ever really seen football discussion on here, so I was interested if there were any other sports favoured by the TST community.

I follow football as a Manchester United (and to a much lesser extent, MK Dons) fan. I've been playing it for almost eight years for my local side as a striker, which is the joint-longest on the team.

The other sport I enjoy following is American Football. It's difficult to call who will win the Super Bowl, with around half of the 32 teams contenders. I support the Baltimore Ravens, and I'm going to Wembley in October to see the St. Louis Rams vs the New England Patriots. In February, I stayed up until 4 am to watch the Super Bowl, meaning I only got 2 hours sleep for school the next day.

Follow:

Football: Season ticket holder at my local club Scunthorpe United and am also an Everton supporter, mostly due to family.

Tennis: Not a fan of Murray though, and only really watch it on TV when it's a grand slam final. Do look for the recent results every couple days though.

Play:

Football: Been playing for a team for 7 years as a left back, am also team captain. Although recently I've enjoyed playing as an attacking midfielder/winger, mostly because I can score amazing goals and am pretty skillful. I've always model myself as a player on Paolo Maldini.

Tennis: Always used to prefer Badminton, but last summer I suddenly started to really enjoy playing it. Not the best at serving but have good jumping and reflexes so am pretty hard to beat on my day.

Running: Very fast runner me, and posses great stamina as well.

Swimming: Don't do it much, and aren't the faster swimmer you'll ever see but I enjoy and have good stamina so can do a good few lengths before I get tired.

Follow:

Football - Been a huge footie fan since I was 8 years old, used to be a massive Chelsea fan but will probably be a Crystal Palace fan very soon as I'm more interested in the football league than I am in the Premier League, if Palace get promoted, I will continue to follow them :)

Tennis - Do like to watch a bit of Tennis on the telly, but don't really follow it that much.

Cricket - Watch it sometimes, but live quite close to Kennington Oval so I go there sometimes

Play:

Football - Again, I love football, But I'm not very good at it XD. But I am good in some areas, such as setting up my team mates which normally results in them scoring :)

Basketball - Love playing basketball, It's a good work out and fun to play. Also can get hectic and is one those quick thinking sports, which I quite like.

Cricket - Play cricket from time to time, I'm better at Batting then I am at Fielding

Tennis - I like playing tennis, although I'm not that great at it XD

Swimming - Love swimming, But I normally swim causally, Although a race against my mates from one side of the pool to the other is always great

Equestrian sports - myself and Kamfira are the resident equestrian experts and professionals ;)

Also watch a lot of rugby but still don't understand the rules - mostly just man watching :)

Follow: rugby, went to twickerham to see the final. football, F1, cycling, tennis, and then the boring nonsense sports, darts, golf and snooker even boring old fishing

Play: rugby and next season will be my 10th year for the club. Darts, played for the county youth darts team (leicestershire). Golf when there's no rugby to be played, and occasionaly fish, charity matches, nice days etc.

I like football and it's the only sport I follow fanatically.

I don't really play much any more just a bit of tennis now and again, I used to play football and I used to kick-box but a head injury stopped me from doing that.

Football - play/follow/watch live
Formula One - follow only, unfortunately
Badminton - play
Pool/snooker - play/follow
Ten Pin Bowling - play
Golf - play/follow
Tennis - follow
Speedway - follow/watch live

Some of those are only occasional, but it makes me look more cosmopolitan ;)

Follow:

Football - I've been a Leicester City season ticket holder for 8 seasons now and am looking forward to my 9th starting in August. I also follow all football generally.

Formula 1 - I got into this back in 2007 and try and watch every race now. Support Lewis Hamilton in the races.

Cricket - I enjoy watching international games involving England.

I also occasionally watch a bit of golf, tennis and darts.

Play:

Well, I used to play golf a lot but this has really slowed down over the last few years. I plan on picking it up again at some point all being well and play very very occasionally at the minute.

:)

Football - I'm a supporter of Manchester United. Funnily enough, the first match I went to see was at the (then-called) Walkers Stadium back in 2003 against Leicester City. We won 4-1, but I had to behave, as I was in the Leicester end with my Leicester City-supporting family. :p I was even lucky enough to be allowed to go right next to the pitch and take photos of the Manchester United squad training! :D Unfortunately, the car had something wrong with it - a fuel hose broke or something - meaning that instead of returning home on the Sunday, we went back on the Monday, so I missed a day of school. Never mind - I got to watch a bit of TV at my grandparents' house, and we had lunch in Wetherspoons on the Sunday, so it wasn't all that bad.

Formula 1 - From my previous incarnation on that other forum (and my sig), you can probably guess that I am a fan of Formula 1. I only ended up getting into it when I came downstairs one morning and switched the TV on to ITV (I think it was the Malaysian GP in 2002 or something), and was really intrigued with what I saw. Ever since then, I've been hooked. I always try to watch every race (although our TV at uni is rubbish, so I have to make-do with listening to it on the radio online, as I don't have a TV licence), and I can't remember the last race I missed, although I'll probably end up missing the Hungarian GP, as it's on the same day I'm travelling up to London for some Olympic football in the same evening. I love it so much that when I appeared on Junior Mastermind in 2004, my specialist subject was Formula 1 from 1990 to 2004. (I was even told that Murray Walker, Formula 1 expert, scored 5 in a celebrity edition which had been recorded (I think) the previous day. I scored 13. :D) I've only been to one race, and it was the 2009 British Grand Prix at Silverstone, going with my Dad and his dad. Three reasons for this.
1) It was the week after my exams had ended.
2) I'd wanted to go for years.
3) It was (we thought at the time) going to be the last race at Silverstone, and it was the last race on the old 5.141km track layout.
The weekend was great - albeit very noisy - and I would definitely go there again for another race. I loved it so much. The place had a wonderful atmosphere. Over 100,000 people turned up on race day, and over the weekend, there were over 300,000 people who turned up. I got to see the Red Arrows for the first time ever, which was amazing, and I even got my programme signed by three-time world champion Sir Jackie Stewart! :D

Football - Used to play for a team, then I realised I was too old/crap.
Cross Country - I'm amazingly bad at short distance due to a leg problem and being amazingly short but I'm great at long distance with stamina.
Badminton - The only sport I'm really good at. I play it almost every day as some of you may see around 7pm. I still need to master directing my serve a bit more though.

Follow
None.

Play
Athletics- Not so good at short distance. Strongest are 800m, 1500m, 400m sprint and shotput.
Rounders- Who doesn't love this?
Gym- Treadmills ftw.
Badminton- So full of win.

As well as regularly doing the above, I also really enjoy in and out of school:
Kickboxing- Did this 4/5 times a week for over a year and a half.
Basketball- But I'm too short.:(
Tennis- Did this for a short time, but the sport centre was too far away.
Squash- Probably one of the best sports, but not many places do it.

Will add more later.:)
