Part of the Theme Park Music Database, Alton Towers is the theme park that created TowersStreet and that website has presented an array of park music, new and old from either the Tussauds years or the current Merlin era. Upon this article, we present to you a wide stretched variety of music spanning from the very early 90s up to present day.

For Alton Towers, we have the ITHotMK Rating as it is rated the highest in 'theme park' music even though it is a classical piece, and it is well known among enthusiasts to be unbeatable. Thus it has been chosen as essentially, the ultimo track that all other tracks must look up to.

The Park
Adventure Land
Sonic Spinball
* Status: Found
* ITHotMK Rating:

Touted as being one of the most annoying soundtracks on park, Sonic Spinball's video game noises tend to irritate enthusiasts within the queue. It does not help the voice of Sonic is far from pleasing either.

Cloud Cuckoo Land
Area Theme
* Status: Found
* ITHotMK Rating: 5/10

Light and bouncy, the Cloud Cuckoo Land theme tries to steal bits of In the Hall of the Mountain King throughout the song. It is nonetheless on the cute atmospheric side of things on park.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: The Ride
* Status: Online
* ITHotMK Rating:

Due to a opinion differentiation on the ride, it is currently impossible to determine whether the music is liked or redeemable to enthusiasts.

Peugeot 207 Driving School
* Status: Hiding
* ITHotMK Rating:

A cheesetastic instrumental version of the song ingrained into the minds of so many small chidren.

On the slow, rather meh side much like the ride itself. It is advised to think happy thoughts once the overexcited male voice appears at the start and the end of the ride.
Queue Loop

* Status: Found
* ITHotMK Rating:

Coming across more like a 'thrill' soundtrack than a 'family' soundtrack, this music is bound to frighten some of the under 12s for the sudden moments of the Th13teen girl screaming, the infamous "help me" and sounds of undergrowth crawling up to the fence to steal a few Fruit Pastilles or chips.

Station/Tesla Coil Loop

* Status: Found
* ITHotMK Rating:

Coming with the SFX of rain assumingly from the outside, even when it's not raining, this retains a lower volume Queue Loop alongside the Th13teen Girl screaming again. There are a number of subtle changes and- 'AAAH TESLA!

Forbidden Valley
* ITHotMK Rating:

Airy fairy, thrill contrary. The music is relaxing and soothing within the queue, sauntering with a hidden woodpecker in the ambience throughout the area, a near favourite of enthusiasts. However, the calm nature of it soon disappears after a ride mishap.

Also available online is the 2007 version from when Alton Towers screwed up their music licensing and had to ditch all their normal tracks.

* Status: Online
* ITHotMK Rating:

Although never played on park anymore within the queues, the Nemesis Story as narrated by Tom Baker is a favourite and is regularly recited outside the park by a member famed for his recitations of Nemesis and Hex.

* Status: Online
* ITHotMK Rating:

Spooky, dreary and above all else, gloomy: This can leave a chill up a spine or two upon entering the Katanga Canyon side of the area alongside the <s>fibreglass</s> real tombstones and graves on the left. However, the mood is soon left when the sounds of irritating blasters overlap the soundtrack, thanks to the incessant tomb zombie outside Duel.

Duel
* Status: Online
* ITHotMK Rating:

Fast paced and easily danceable, Duel is alright but doesn't evoke the same magic and mystery The Haunted House did before. It is pretty much the same music throughout, just changed now and again to sound 'different'.
This catchy piece heard during the long, strenuous queue up the Monorail ramps is danceable yet irritating depending on your views. If you are urging to head on park, then it is more likely to bug you even more than it normally does.

Meets are known to be where a varying amount of people (aka TSTers) integrate together at a specific location (aka a theme park) in order to have varying degrees of fun, queueing and faff in no particular order. Sometimes this one big group will split off into smaller groups known as 'cliques' (that angry beavers are heavily against) but that's all for another article.

Below are varying sizes of meets, ranging in four officially stated sizes just to confirm everything. Aside from these, there is such a thing known as a Secret Meet, where a number of members create a meet somewhere in secret so they don't have unwanted members (for varying reasons) tagging along.

Meets are only official if they're placed in the correct Trip and Planning Reports section of the forum. No arguments, they just are official that way.

Varying Meet Sizes
Official Meet
Size: 15 members + 2 Officials

The most members an official meet has ever had is between 50 and 60, which caused extreme faff and prolonged queue/post-waiting time.

Mini Meet
Size: 5 to 15 members

Micro Meet
Size: 3 to 5 members

Nano Meet
Size: 2 to 3 members

Loner Meet
Size: Speaks for itself.

It is currently being debated whether this counts as a real meet or not. It does not count if that person meets other people on park over the course of the day, who do not join the loner.

The Ban Stick (known as "Stick of Doom" by those who receive the wrath of it) is an ancient metaphorical, though sometimes real and pulsating, stick that is used to ban people from the TowersStreet Forum, quite simply. It must not be confused with the more contemporary Ban-Gavel: a similar device but used by the Queen of the Wiki to ban people from her realm instead.

Reactions
If a member of the ADMINZAR team do caution that they are going to take out their ban stick, it is advisable that one remains quiet, ceases whatever action they were doing at the time (and also breathing), and backs away slowly. Continuation of threats should be taken seriously, and a recommendation to drop to your knees (although see exceptions below) and beg for forgiveness is advisable.

Exceptions
Exceptions to the rule are however that if a particular Mod or Admin threatens to get out his ban stick, you locate the nearest wall as fast as humanly possible and keep your back to it at all times until the threat has passed and another victim has been selected.

Usage
When used, the member concerned finds themselves exiled from any contribution for whatever time period has been defined at the time of use. Simples. *squeek*.

It is not unknown for bans to be handed out "for teh LOLz". If a member of the TST team threatens to ban someone in an obviously jokey way, it is still not recomended to call their bluff. These bans are often short term (one evening), but are no less deadly than a "real" ban, resulting in a black mark against your name on your "TST Permanent Record".

Grandeur
The ceremonial ban stick is kept in a gold and rhodium diamond encrusted and french velvet lined case, which remains in a secret location within the TowersStreet Ivory Towers. It is now only used for ceremonial banning rituals, such as the banning of a particular infamous member.

All Meet-Up Fees include VAT and do not accept MAP discount.

The Fee Origins
Speculation
Rumours of the Meet-Up Fees were circulating since the late Noughties, when the amount of members on a Meet began growing at an unusual pace and causing stress in the Team as they didn't imagine that many people would attend.

It just so happened at the same time, fellow theme park and coaster forums began charging a respectable amount of money to their members, causing questions by TSTers if that were to happen to their beloved Meets. Of course the Team denied this move many times.

However, claims over time began suggesting imminent Meet-Up Fees after a Team member in 2009 let slip of a Secret Meet at the holy hidden crossroads in Alton, after showing photos of the Team having fun playing on calculators for teh lulz.

Official Release
On the 5th February 2011 at precisely 10:44 GMT, the Meet-Up Fees were announced by a Moderator:

"Please note this meet will be charged at £5.87 per member plus VAT at the prevailing rate. As of 2011, TowersTimes has taken the unprecedented step of showing all meet up fees before VAT is applied.

For details on how your meet up fees are spent, please contact a member of the Alton Towers team at Ma Garritas, the Dragon or Captains Bars.

Many thanks."

Reception
This was met with a mixed response of praise and criticism from members across the TT-spectrum, including fear from newbies, but mainly praise from those who could afford such a fee.

It was rumoured among many the reason why the Team have created the fee, is to compete with other well known theme park forums who also require a payment towards their respective holy leaders who, as we all know, need the money for <s>their own holidays</s> the upkeep of the forum. It is also said that the Team chose to create the fee out of control upon TSTers who are well known spenders on meets, causing imminent faff at shops and eateries.
