Fireworks are pretty things that go BANG when they're launched, stereotypically with 'oohs' and 'aahs' from the crowd below, although this doesnt happen in real life, reactions are more like WOW or, even more likely, people simply don't care, especially at Alton Towers, where a fair few people just take the opportunity to go on rides whilst everyone else is watching the display.

The fireworks at the park, however, are very impressive. In The Made Up Poll of Firework Displays by Me, Alton Towers ranked top, as their fireworks, as well as going BANG also are set to popular, mostly lively, music - although this could be argued as pointless if you are in one of the nearest viewing areas as every time a firework explodes you cant hear the music anyway!

Due to silly villagey-type people, the display has only been reintroduced this year, in 2010, after years of Alton trying to bribe the villagers with free tickets. Although why the spoilsport old people chose to live next to a theme park in the first place is anyone's guess.

It has long been rumoured that the best place to see the Fireworks is from the top of [[Oblivion]]'s drop, although the bangs are frequently interrupted by hurtling into a giant hole to the person concerned's doom.
