In comparison to the camp [[Forbidden Valley]], X-Sector the second 'thrill' themed area which takes itself too seriously and depends on psychology as well as vaguely dark, elusive, secret government facility theming in order to frighten guests. [[Oblivion]] counts in this as one of Alton Tower's most imposing roller coasters, alongside [[The_Beastie|The Beastie]], often making queues shorter rather than bigger.

Aside from [[Oblivion|Oblivion]], X-Sector also houses [[Submission]] and [[Enterprise]], the least queued for in park mainly because the former is a potential death trap and the latter is usually at every other park, thus rendering itself pointless.
