The Alton Towers Hotel is famous because it costs an arm and a leg and your firstborn child, oh and there's a theme park in the back garden. Built during the 90s in order to get more people visiting for longer who weren't skint and had to stay at the nearest Travelodge or Weathervane.

The hotel prides itself in eccentric artefacts both in illustrations and with a massive flying contraption down by the Not So Secret Garden restaurant. Just to add to the strangeness, there is a water feature fountain right outside the entrance of the hotel involving an old car which somehow got thrown at the fountain with attached helicopter wings and somehow ridiculously stuck.

It also prides itself in the famed themed rooms, which attracts many more fans to the area despite the ridiculous fee. They've changed over the years for fresh's sake but some which have been removed (Such as the Nemesis bedroom and Oblivion bedroom) which ended up with many enthusiasts crying at the hotel desk. There is also the Chocolate Room where Ninjas 'apparantly' supply an abundant supply of chocolate into the room.

The normal rooms themselves are not that exciting. It's just spruced up hotel rooms you'd normally find in, well, hotels. It's not going to get much more edgier or funkier than that. In the rooms, there is a complimentary fish you can use as shower gel or something ridiculous like that. Be thankful it's never an actual fish.

Oh and there is a better elevator than a a certain elevator.
