Alton Towers Resort has posted new closing times on it’s website, worryingly including a new earlier closing time of 4:30pm on select days. Currently these 4.30pm closing days only occur in March but it is unclear how far in advance the on-line calendar is updated. Previously the earliest the park would close was 5pm (excluding February Half Term)
This new 4.30pm closing time comes alongside other announcements; such as a reduced ERT line-up and the since reversed decision to close The Blade (despite still being fully functional) strongly suggest Alton Towers has had it’s operating budget cut, this despite a further increase in ticket prices this year.
