Professor Burp's Bubbleworks was the UK's first theatrically brilliant dark ride, designed by God. It opened in 1990 at Chessington World of Adventures; built on an unused hill, in a warehouse also housing the station to the Vampire rollercoaster. It used a water based transit system, manufactured by MACK Rides. Riders were taken riders around a fizzy pop factory, run by the main character, the eccentric 'Professor Burp', through many different scenes. The ride was raped for the 2006 season with a new soap based theme and more exciting name, Bubbleworks. Yay.
