Shockwave opened in 1994 as Europe's first stand up coaster. Know by many TSTers as Bollock Basher: The Ride the ride is not suitable for Males over the age of 14, this is documented in the Ride Restrictions. Since construction, other parks have been literally falling over themselves to avoid adding one of their own. Shockwave is unique amongst coasters in that construction began from the station in both directions with the intention of meeting up in the middle.
