Amorim was highly rated. I'd imagine Liverpool looked at how his preferred formation would work with the current players and thought "nah try elsewhere".

What's odds on Mourinho going back?

He wanted a high wage that a sensible club like Liverpool wouldn't pay.

Would be interested to hear everyone's thoughts about this...

The Scunthorpe v Wealdstone game had to eventually be abandoned after a Wealdstone player suffered a nasty injury and his teammates all refused to play on, citing mental health. They were also 2-1 down at the time and didn't have any subs left.

Were Wealdstone in the right? Even if they were, I feel that if an abandonment is caused by a team refusing to play on, the opposition team should be awarded three points. The game should only be rescheduled if the abandonment is out of everyone's control (i.e bad weather).

Thoughts?

Think it should be careful where teams would be able to walk off the pitch with no real punishment.

Abusive language (racism/homophobic/etc.) and severe injury (such as Eriksen/Muamba) are reasonable examples. They should NEVER have continued that Euros game when Eriksen went down.

Now, the added context of no more subs and losing makes things feel a bit iffy. But would need to know the full story there to see if such a theory is correct.

First sacking of the season as the fat Greek has had enough of Nuno moaning about transfers.

Big Ange rumoured to be the replacement. Which would be amusing.

What I don't understand in things like this is why wasn't he sacked Sunday night after the last Forest game. Give Postecoglu time with the squad that wasn't away on international duty and get used to his surroundings before the internationals get back.

Nuno wasnt happy so he critises the owner/transfers in the media, was only going to go one way. Good luck to Ange, everyone seems to forget he has only managed 1 season before

Nuno is know for being someone who can't loose an argument. However, he came up against a man who employees him, who also can't loose an argument.

THe main issue is, he over achieved at forest, got his employer too excited about CL. When the other clubs began to work them out and results dropped, that CL money could not spend and the book stopped at Nuno. As a a sensible supporter, I would say forrest getting the UEFA cup is still a great achievement, even if it come at Palace stupidity. A great rise.

But, we shall see when the Greek is when Forrest don't get Europe this year.

Also, I know it most likely won't last. But seeing both the Sheffield sides at the bottom at the championship. Chefs kiss. Especially with the blunts being bottom.
