The Alton Towers Resort seems to have made the difficult decision to cut the Acorn costume character, who was often seen being chased around the park by Scrat. The characters associated with the new for 2012 attraction IceAge: The 4D Experience, have been regularly on park since opening in March.
This latest cut comes soon after it was announced first on TowersStreet.com that the resort was cutting costs by opening a number of rides an hour after the park opened (Including Air and Th13teen), as well as a number of food and merchandise outlets remaining closed for the rest of the main season.
TowersStreet.com attempted to get a comment from Scrat himself but reports suggest he is currently too upset to make a statement.
