If you venture into Forbidden Valley in 2025, Toxicator awaits to turn your world upside down!
The park have now revealed more information about their new attraction for 2025, including confirmation of the ride’s name, Toxicator, which was first rumoured following a trademark application last year.
Over 2024 we have been following the construction work on Project Ocean, which will see a Top Spin return to the Ripsaw site in Forbidden Valley, as a spiritual replacement for the park’s original Top Spin that left the resort in 2015. Before Christmas, we got confirmation that the new version will be a Suspended Top Spin, which will sit atop an elevated platform that straddles the path to Galactica.
The park have also confirmed that the new ride will see the return of fountains for dramatic purposes, one of the more notable features that made the original Ripsaw so distinctive. Today’s announcement revealed that the water fountains on both sides of the ride will be green-lit, but heavily suggests that they are just for show and won’t interact with the ride itself, as occurred on Ripsaw.
The colour of the fountains links to the theme of the ride as the latest technology from The Phalanx, developed to experiment on the Nemesis creature. Riders will be seated back-to-back before being flipped round and held face down above a ‘bubbling pool of highly toxic alien acid’. According to the ride’s backstory The Phalanx designed Toxicator:
‘to extract and separate toxic saliva from the Nemesis creature. It applies an intense spinning, centrifugal force to the saliva which turns it into a chemical solution so powerful it will melt anything it touches.’
We now know that the height restriction for the new ride will be 1.4m, as had been expected for a ride of this type. The park are yet to confirm an opening date, but the ride is expected to open for the start of the season.
