Alton Towers official website has confirmed the line-up for Scarefest this year, with Terror of the Towers, Carnival of Screams and The Sanctuary all returning for the 2013 event along with Zombies Scare-zone. Of note for the family visitors is a change of name for the main children’s attraction area, which previously was known as “Franklyns Freaky Farm”, but will now be known as “Franklyns Freaky Fun Zone”.
Of particular interest this year is the confusion over the ticketing format for the scare-mazes. In previous events Terror of the Towers has been a free attraction with the other mazes being pay-to-play. The website suggests currently that this season Carnival of Screams will be free, with Terror of the Towers still suggesting it is a free maze but with a tag stating that tickets can be booked. TowersStreet believe that the Terror of the Towers will be a paid attraction this season.
Update: The website now states that Terror of the Towers will be a paid maze, with Carnival of Screams free.
