Planning Application Submitted for New Fencing

Alton Towers have today submitted four planning applications for new fencing to be installed at the theme park.

The applications relate to heritage areas of the site which are deemed less safe than others due to their older nature. The areas include the Battle Galleons lake, the path beside the main lake, areas around and within the ruins and the Gardens.

All the new fencing appears to be designed to fit in with existing stone work or to improve existing fencing structures. Some of the fencing will remove more primitive wood, rope or wire fences and replace them with more substantial and safer alternatives.

More to follow.
