Following the latest government announcements, it appears that Alton Towers will be reopening their Grade II listed Gardens from the Monday 29th March 2021.
Despite tickets being available for purchase through Accesso, opening hours are currently unknown, although we anticipate that they’ll be open from 10am until 4pm as per the summer opening last year. The gardens also opened on certain dates during November and December in 2020, before the introduction of the new Christmas event, with opening times being between 10am and 3pm. Tickets need to be pre-booked for all guests, with tickets costing £12, or free for annual passholders.
The park operated last year by checking guests’ temperature upon entry, with any guests having a high temperature being refused entry and given the chance to rebook at a later date for no extra charge.
The entry fee will include car parking but no other attractions will be open and a large part of the park will be closed to guests. Previously, facilities for guests were provided in Mutiny Bay and Towers Street, including toilets, food and drink, though without indoor seating.
With the opening of the gardens on the 29th and following the government guidance for when other outdoor attractions can open, we know that the rest of the park will not be able to open until at least April 12th this year.
