Monday 8 January 2024 17:12

Alton Towers has officially revealed the new name and logo for their iconic B&M Coaster, Nemesis. The ride has been under refurbishment since the end of the 2022 season, and will now be known as Nemesis Reborn.

To accompany the name reveal, the resort also released a teaser video and image showing a revamped creature rising from the ground, surrounded by the new ride’s black track with vein detailing:

The ride’s logo returns to being similar to the original, still a fan favourite despite its replacement in the late 90s. It also features a nod to the creature’s eye, with the letters B and O in Reborn also hiding an easter egg to the coaster’s 30 year age:

In a press release, Alton Towers Divisional Director Bianca Sammut said:

“Nemesis is utterly cherished by generations of thrillseekers. As Europe’s first inverted rollercoaster it occupies a special place in the heart for so many. At Alton Towers Resort we’ve been working tirelessly to transform this iconic attraction and we’re delighted to give fans a first look at the terrifying creature that gives it its name.”

The resort haven’t yet released an opening date for the new ride, only advising the ride is returning in Spring, with Bianca Sammut adding “We’re keeping tight-lipped about the exact date of its return for now, but we can assure you … the wait will be worth it.”
