Added in 1981, the Adventure Railway weaved through the woods between the coach park and Around the World in 80 days. The ride was a 15" gauge railway, featuring a miniature train consisting of 10 multicoloured, covered coaches, drawn by a 110v electric locomotive.
The right-angled course took guests round quite a narrow 100-metre loop of track, surrounded by a series of cut-out cartoon characters, which provided the titular 'adventure'.
The Adventure Railway operated for just over 10 years at the park and survived slightly longer than Adventureland 4-11, which closed in 1991. The main attractions from the land, including the Adventure Railway, continued to operate in 1992 but this would be the train's final season.
