Premium Merlin Annual pass pack

If I use a lanyard (rarely do due to not usually needing it) I either use my World Snooker Championships one or the Merlin one. I have no problem with either and they are both usually tucked in anyway :p

Disney use a free fastrack system, would you refuse to use that? :p

Personally, I don't 'proudly' wear the lanyard, but it does come in useful for pin badges if nothing else :) I agree that it's a very clever marketing product, but it's also a pain in the ass having to dig around your bag every time you purchase something, rendering the lanyard useful. And if people like wearing them, so what? It doesn't make you less of an anything...

Lastly, I know this isn't on topic but I can't stand people saying what makes a 'real' enthusiast, if you are enthusiastic about something does that not, by definition, make you enthusiast? If you wear a lanyard or not. There should be no snobbery, no belittling and certainly no assumptions. This is why I've always admired this website/forum. Posts suggesting wearing a lanyard doesn't make you a 'real enthusiast' completely makes a mockery of the morals and standards set on this forum. Hell, you don't even need to be an 'enthusiast' to enjoy whatever theme parks have to offer and to join in in conversation and debate.

I think most of the comments in here are more tongue in cheek, rather than serious comments.

No I will NOT use a free fastrack! The only times I would use a fastrack is if I was with a group on a special event and free fastracks were part of the package.

Regarding the Disney fastracks, that's something completely different, as it's a completely free service. It's the same as the Thorpe Reserve 'n' Ride thingy they did for part of this year. If I had been at Thorpe when that was available, I would have taken advantage of it.

I hate to look more superior than anyone else, even though I'm not. I wouldn't like to be seen using a fastrack queue as I have a feeling it will make me look a snob, and I don't want that. I'm not saying that people who use fastracks are snobs in any way, just I have a feeling people will think that of me.

Obviously then I'd use the fastrack queue, unless I was with people who didn't have fastrack.

Edit: Something messed up... @Joel @Craig so just imagine this post is below @darren's! v

i just replied to this but it hasn't showed up. i meant if i went to the london eye for example, premium pass holders can go fast track. i should be able to take my party with me.

I very much doubt you'd have the privilege to do so, but I'm not 100% certain you're not. I would assume your party would have to buy fastracks themselves.

oh right, i read that premium pass holders get fast track, it doesn't make sense to leave there party waiting surely? its a one hit wonder. will probably do it once, thats it. I'm talking about london eye.

I think with premium you can skip the queue on some of the London stuff (I have never been so not 100% sure), not sure on the rules about people with you if they don't have premium passes, probably just the discretion of the staff member.

Indeedy. Premium MAP users can skip the queue at Sea Life, Tussaud's, Dungeons and London Eye. When really busy they may give you a return time rather than letting you queue however.

I'm fairly certain all members of the party must have a premium MAP though to use the perk. Equally, only the premium MAP holder would be allowed to visit the attractions on dates blocked for standard MAP holders. :)

"Skip the queue" is Priority entrance at Sealife, Tussauds and Dungeons. You join the main queue at London Eye without needing to purchase tickets or anything. You never skip the entire queue, so don't be confused by this!

Not wishing to confuse matters but I visited the London Eye the weekend just gone with Premium MAP - we entered via the fastback queue which was considerably shorter than the main queue.

You need to spend less time worrying about what people think of you. You will be much happier.

I'm often a very outgoing and enthusiastic person about a lot of things, and live to be who I truly am, just it's thing like that that make me feel self conscious. :(

Pixie is so right.

Life either teaches you this the easy, or the hard way.

ALWAYS be yourself.

Back on topic, fast tracks yes. I sometimes like lanyards

Next year when I renew, can I get the renewal price and upgrade to premium from std? or does the renewal price just cover if you renew like for like
