By way of comparison, let's look at White Lightning (Fun Spot) on its initial few tests. Same length as Wicker Man, same manufacturer, same family market.

Other than the fact that White Lightning is faster at the end than Wicker Man, I wouldn't actually say that the two look overly different when cresting hills and going through higher points in their layouts. I'm still optimistic for this and I'm not judging before I ride!

The first time the track passes through the Wicker Man structure it looks like it's nearly about to stall - and that's literally still the first half of the ride immediately following the first "drop" and hill!

I guess it's a subjective matter depending on your definition of slow, but I didn't think that the speed of Wicker Man through the tall helix and the speed of White Lightning over its tallest hill looked overly different myself.

On an interesting note, remember that the ride has been testing for over a month now as the first run was on 7th December 2017. I'm sure the park have tested many different types of wheels and will probably test many more to achieve the optimal speed.

The video was taken from some considerable height.

The perspective to actually gauge how fast it's going makes it impossible to do so.

The non-banked corner aside, the speed looks fine for an early test. It also seems to practically stop at the top of the lift hill, which will not be standard.

I agree @AstroDan! I'm sure the ride will be a bit faster when actually operating!

Is it too late to get the Valley woodie sorted instead? Joke. I do agree with one point though, things do always tend to look slower from a great height. Did look very slow though, even taking that into account. Hard to judge, and hoping that this was the slowest wheel compound they could possibly find :)

I think it looks great, albeit a bit on the short side. I've gone into this one knowing it's going to be a solid family coaster no matter what the marketing / theme may elude too.

The park needs more variety of coasters than just ones aimed at thrill seekers and teenagers or it would turn into TP north.

For me this video sums up the problems with this ride...

For sure testing videos can show slow rides, Woodan had incredibly slow runs during testing. But what we have here is either a slow coaster or a faster coaster that is incredibly short....

My reluctance to like this ride has not ebbed.
