Looks like we might see reopenings instead such as N:ST and Twirling Toadstool then perhaps? I did see a message of towers a while ago when somebody pulled them up about why the Toadstool was rotting that they confirmed that it would return for the 2019 season as they were working with a major rides company. But as I’m sure we all know, this may never materialise: they earlier promised that the duel trommel would be back in action within weeks at the start of the season after it was refurbished.

I’m really hoping that it’s not just an announcement of the dungeons prices or something we already know!

Not if they were in areas of permitted development and met the permitted development conditions. New flats for next year are extremely unlikely though.

I agree it's probably not going to happen but it confuses me how a park like Dreamland can buy several thrilling flats in one go but Alton/Merlin can't.

Alton Towers Resort in 2019 is set to be an exhilarating year with the opening of the terrific Alton Towers Dungeons, the return of the phenomenal Wicker Man and more surprises to come!

To top it off, 2019 will see the opening of our brand new accommodation - Stargazing Pods, as well as the return of fan favourite events Scarefest and Fireworks

More surprises to come? = More cuts? Opening time of 11am with rides opening at 12noon and 3pm ride closures??? o_O

Ooh! More surprises to come sounds promising; maybe it'll be a new flat ride package! Or maybe a new event!

I like the new app. I never knew what the Congo river rapids looked like before. Apparently they’re closed. Damn

I am sure those guys (who are doing a fantastic job by the way) doing Virtual Towers and have made good progress in making good chunks of Alton Towers in 3D. Are secretly (to keep share prices up) working for Merlin. Soon enough the Varninator will be back, having you pay £100 to sit in a room experiencing Alton Towers in VR, while closing the park outright and claiming it is the best thing since sliced bread.
