Ride reliability

By recent terms it was between Spinball and The Smiler. Chose Spinball

Historically Nemesis is the most reliable. However in the last week or two, I'd say Spinball, so it depends what timescale we're talking about.
Have a look at the uptime charts here: Alton Towers statistics

From Queue-Times, which is driven by data from RideTimes (so make of these what you will):
Uptime in the past 7 days:
Spinball - 99.5%
Galactica - 91.2%
Nemesis - 75.2%
Wicker Man - 86.5%
Oblivion - 89.6%
The Smiler - 90.3%
Rita - 78.1%
Th13teen - 95.1%
Runaway Mine Train - 88.1%

How can nemesis be 75 when it was down for 1 3/4 daysFrom Queue-Times, which is driven by data from RideTimes (so make of these what you will):

Because of maths. 1.75 days equates to 25% over a 7 day period. So 75% uptime.
I'm amazed Thirteen is that high considering it's aversion to hotter temperatures. From Queue-Times, which is driven by data from RideTimes (so make of these what you will):

That can't be right as thirteen was closed today but open yesterday when it was much warmerI'm amazed Thirteen is that high considering it's aversion to hotter temperatures.
Those statistics are wrong as there's absolutely no way galactica has a higher operating percentage than the smiler this week. Sorry but that's just bullThe uptime is shocking to be honest. The fact so many of Alton Towers' major coasters have run less than 90% of the time is really quite poor.
Be interesting to compare with other major parks.

Edit: just realised that data was taken from 19th-25th and the first 3 days the uptime percentage for smiler was quite poor so actually that makes sense

Sincere apologies for all your hard work, I know I moan a lot. I have a soft spot for smiler so that's why I get defensive for the rideI don't know why I bothered.

If these stats are pulled from ride times I take it they calculate any time a ride is listed as ‘currently unavailable’ or ‘closed’ - this doesn’t necessarily equate directly to the reliability of the actual ride.
This down time could cover events such as a guest throwing up, staff searching for lost property, a numpty entering the ride area, someone being taken ill - all sorts basically. So it’s pretty impossible to pin point the time a ride is closed due to technical issues alone.
