Quick Questions

Thanks guys. We're planning to hit Dark Forest first so I should be able to sit near the front hopefully (Also means I don't have to wait long to ride in case I don't like it). I'll try the test seat before I make my final decision, although I'm more likely to ride Smiler than Rita (Will almost definitely brave Smiler this time, and will definitely do Spinball).

Out of interest do you like Oblivion?
I find it more intimidating than Rita.

One of my friends find Oblivion the scariest ride he's been on, says the whole thing just scares him, the long climb and the hanging which 'lasts forever'

Hi!

Just wondering if you can help, we’ve purchased Platinum fast track for a few weeks time (we live far away and can only visit on a Saturday so really want to have a good day out). On the digital ticket it says to collect a wristband on the day - is this true and if so, where do I pick this up from?

Thanks.

Hi, and welcome to TS!
I would assume that you pick those up from the Resort Box Office on Towers Street. :)

I would get to the box office as early as possible as long queues usually build up the fairly quickly first thing in the morning at the box office, I don't know if this is still the case during covid

I'm going this Sunday, and the forecast is saying to expect winds of up to 13mph. Should I be worried?

If it gets windy your main concerns are The smiler, oblivion and enterprise which all shut when windy. Other rides tend to last a bit longer before they go down.

I'm going in June on a Friday and Saturday before my 21st birthday, I'm thinking about treating myself to a platinum pass on the Saturday.
Probably been asked many times but is platinum worth it, are the fast tracks queues always significantly shorter as in not waiting more than 10 or 20 minutes

I’ve just booked the Chained Oak b&b for 2 nights mid week late June, mainly because I refuse to pay the outrageous on resort hotel rates despite the fact it would be great to stay on resort. I’ve read that people can walk to the park from the b&b but I’m sure Farley Lane doesn’t have a pavement? I don’t really fancy walking on that winding road but it sounds like people do it - is it definitely feasible to walk to the park from there?

You can walk across the fields, ask Liz the owner of the Chained Oak and she can give directions. The field walk brings you opposite the staff entrance for the park and then you can walk along from there.

Sounds good, thanks!

May have changed with Covid, but when we stayed there 2 years ago, we could enter the park via the staff entrance, walk along the road that runs parallel with the main road then enter the Express carpark via a path and into the park that way.

Liz said to us to walk across the fields "and the cows will be fine" but when we saw them all grouped by the fence by the road, we thought better of it and left the field a few yards down from the staff entrance. You can walk on the verge but the road is relatively straight so you can see traffic coming and get onto the verge if needed.

Yep, its eight years since we stayed there but we did the same, walked across the field avoiding the cow pats, into the staff entrance and follow it down to the path to the express parking and into the park. Probably took just as long as the walk from the AT main car park!

We stayed at the chained oak a few weeks ago and walked through the fields and staff entrance with no problems

The field was actually filled with sheep not cows this time

Could someone tell me what time standard day pass guests can enter the park? Is it 10am or do they allow access into the park before this? I know that hotel guests can enter from 0900 but I wasn’t sure about guests with just day passes.
