Happy Closed Season everyone! It's that time of year again... Welcome to the return of the annual TST Member Awards!

Last year, @Sir Queer Llama hosted the awards and we presented them in our completely sober and running-to-time Not-New-Years-Eve quiz. However this year you've got me again, as Sam has fallen asleep and I've got COVID so there's nothing better to do! We'll also not be announcing the results in any form of live streaming event, so this year will be a bit more of a "classic" awards season.

Much like last year, we'll be adopting a 2-round voting system. In the first round you'll have the opportunity to nominate whoever you like for any of the awards, then the most popular votes will go through to round 2, in which you'll select your winner for each category.

Considering there were no official meets this year, we've got a slightly shortened list of categories, although there are a couple of new ones we've thrown in for good measure. We'll certainly aim to bring back meet-up awards as soon as we are able to have them again! So, "what are the categories?", I hear you ask.

To vote, simply fill out the Google Form using the link below. You have until Saturday 18th December (that's 2 weeks from today), then round 2 will be posted on Sunday 19th December and run for a week until Christmas Day. The results will then be posted during the week between Christmas and New Year. Any question? Nope? Good! Happy voting!

Am I allowed to nominate the London Resort thread as biggest failed? Are there any rules around what constitutes this? Only angle I'm going for is that it reads like a theme park seance.

You can do that yep! No particular rules, just whatever you think suits the category.
 
Think I nominated the queue times topic for the fail topic category, but the London Resort topic is a good choice too. :p
Might've nominated the LR tpic for another category but can't remember which.

Thanks for all your nominations for the awards. I'm happy to announce that round 2 is now live! The most popular nominees from round 1 for each category have been entered into a multiple choice voting system. This should make it a whole lot easier to vote with options in front of you, rather than a whole forum of options, so I really appreciate the time that everyone has put in to the first round!

Voting will close at 11.59pm on Christmas Day (that's this Saturday coming), and the winners will be announced on Monday 27th December. I didn't previously say this, but the winners for each category will receive a 2021 Member Awards banner to add to their forum signature... as always.

Not sure if you've noticed, but at the end of the form it mentions about the results being announced during the quiz, which I think was done last time. :p:oops:
Think this is the first year I've been nominated for an award, let alone 3! :eek::D
