I’ve recently rediscovered my love for ale and more recently pale / craft ales. This happened a few weeks ago with a visit to North Cotswold brewery and beer festival at Stratford upon Avon

Used to drink a fair bit of the old ale, but stopped during covid - it became a problem, should we say:)

So ,… this thread is designed to be dedicated to beer.

First off - todays tipple:

Believe it or not this is a lovely beer - not too sweet but does give those Jam / Custard flavours.

Northern Monk Brewery
Available in Morrisons

So - what have you been drinking, where from and where can you get it from?

Titanic Plum Porter - Found in food warehouse last time. One of the best.

This is a great thread idea

This one? Yes it’s a good beer for its price range. Although there are better out there.

Just open a Brewdog Chocolate and Marshmallow stout ….. so far so good

Oh that looks bad for my wallet. I've only got 2 or 3 bottles of rum in the house at the moment.

I use a monthly box subscription called Brewser, £35 a month, you chose a brewery, the brewery sends you box of beer direct. Love it for variety and trying things I'd otherwise never have found.

Tonight's can was a their first crack at a colab, and very decent it was too.

My beer if the year so far, Pastore Il Crumble Pear Raspberry Honey. Big thick fruit sweet beer, sour enough to turn your mouth inside out. Incredible.

The Pastore sounds right up my street - where did you get it from?

Direct from the brewery through Brewser. I think they knock out a different fruited 'crumble' every few months so I doubt you'll still find this one now, but all the beers in their box were incredible.

Let’s see how the beauty goes down
I had a can of this last year, stouts are not my thing really but this one was especially sickly. I have another can of it which will likely not get drunk! How did you find it?

Brewdoggy Dog is always a good shout (and drink) though.

I actually really enjoyed it - didn’t find it overly sweet compared to some.

Was in my local Morrisons - 3 for price of 4 on craft ale
