Strange questions that sometimes need answering (or not asking in the first place really).

I think they should be illegal on every day other than bonfire night and midnight, and that on those days there should be a cut off at like 10pm on bonfire night at half past midnight on new years eve. Private displays should be limited to quieter and smaller fireworks while big displays should be controlled and only permitted a certain distance from residential properties.
 
I agree but would probably add Chinese New Year and Diwali (which also currently get the extended 1am curfew).
 
Boo. Fireworks are fun, traditions around the world going back centuries shouldn't be discarded because dome people are mildly inconvenienced. Has this place been invaded by the Ropers?

Couldn't agree more, but we have quiet fireworks for family celebrations.
And it isn't just people around Greenwich who complain you know...

Weird when you see them and you're working in one. You're more yourself at home but have a persona when you're at work. Been waiting to work so close to home for years and it's really strange now I do. Especially when people you've had, err, relations with in your younger years with some of the ladies that come in. I often think to myself "I've seen you completely naked". I wonder if they think the same thing? One of them works in a Costa by me, gives me this rather strange smirk when I go in there especially with the kids in toe. Never says anything or acknowledges me, just this awkward look.

Is this actually his very best though? I mean. It's a VERY strong beat, some lovely bits of synth and the bass comes in nice and smoothly but strongly after a while. Add the sexy lyrics in there too. Do we have a winner? I bet you'd get respect if you were cruising around with this blasting out of your windows these days eh, you bad boys?

I have to say though. I do wonder why this 10cc song 'Dreadlock Holiday' hasn't been cancelled? I mean, I don't think it should be, and it's a good track. But things get wrecked for a lot less these days.

Look at the evidence. Blatant stereotyping of Jamaican/West Indian people going on here. Firstly, the singer goes on about being surrounded by some 'brothers' and them demanding his silver chain in a robbery. Then, it's time for more stereotypical fun. The guy's having a drink and then is approached by a 'dark voice' that asks if he wants something 'harder'and 'my harvest is the best' (obviously meaning boodah/drugs).

Great song and video though. Glad that the saddo's havn't caught up with it.

Yep. It's on the Tesco radio playlist that they play in strores nationwide too. Just surprises me that they aren't sharp enough to clock these lyrics when they'll easily go after potentially lesser pathetic things. They're just stupid. Otherwise, they'd have dropped it already. They just havn't listened to the lyrics.

Singing along as we worked behind the Safeway food counters with the lyrics inappropriately amended as loud as we dared, praying the punters never noticed or didn't quite believe what they had heard, was always such fun.

I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight by Cutting Crew and I Won't Let The Sun Go Down On Me by Nick Curshaw were always risky favourites.
