Alton Towers/Merlin Typos & Grammatical Errors

Not sure if this is the right thread for this, but this was my ordeal when trying to get an answer whether or not my single purchase fastracks would be valid for another ride if the one I purchased it for was down.

Give.me.strength. I gave up in the end.IMG_9198.jpeg

I can't stand these chatbot helpers, they're always far more frustrating for people than they are helpful. We can all look through FAQ pages if we want to - people accessing these services usually need to talk to a person. With a brain (preferably).

I was there yesterday and at 6.30pm when I walked past it, it had been fixed. These types of tweets annoy me because they are only showing a snapshot of something wrong at a point in time and gives no context to when something went wrong and how long it took to repair - which is the important bit - and in this case it was only a few hours.

Just a reminder of a few things everyone:

  • This topic was created for pointing out Alton Towers and Merlin typos/errors in their own official publications/social media channels. Please don't turn this into spellchecking the internet everywhere Alton Towers is mentioned 😉
  • As mentioned in Guest Services, please only post screenshots where they're absolutely necessary. You don't need to screenshot text from a website, it can be copied and pasted into quotes in your post. You can then link to the page in question so people can read it from the source if they wish.
I've removed a number of posts from the topic as a result of the above. Please could you ensure future posts stick to these requests :)

Been a while but who wants a specular summer sale?
Of course they are actually paying for people to see this!

Specular is a word but it means "relating to or having the properties of a mirror", which summer sales are not unless they are selling mirrors.
