Thorpe never suggested that Hyperia would open with the start of the season and I never for a minute thought that it would given the construction timelines.
Possibly it was in their original plan to have it open in March but things slip.
They might lose a bit of money from ticket sales in March/April, but anyone who would have visited then will likely visit later in the year anyway, so overall guest numbers for 2024 may not suffer overly. Getting it ready for the busy summer season - school trips, summer holidays etc. - will surely be the greater priority.

If I remembering rightly, they did drop a pretty big hint on FB with a ready to ride hyperia type ad - it had a picture of hyperia and the link to book from March.

I completely disagree that they aren’t misleading people.
If you take your enthusiast hat off and look at the Hyperia page as someone who is not following the intricacies of a roller coaster being built but has just seen some of their marketing and ended up on the website.
The text simply says:
Right underneath that is a big ‘BOOK NOW’ button that takes you to the ticket booking system. Opening day (23rd March) is populated as the first available date. No where during the booking journey is it implied or stated that the ride will not be open.
It’s not unreasonable for your average guest to expect the ride to be open.

Agree with all of that, but it is more about incompetence, not deliberate money-making in this case.

I don’t think there is enough evidence to confirm whether it is either deliberate or incompetent at this stage.
But either way, the end result is same - misleading customers, and it isn’t acceptable. This is a global multi billion pound organisation, not someone running a local Facebook business. It shouldn’t be happening.

Exactly nobody on towers street or in the know will be misled about this but I guarantee you this advertising would have misled many people, it was even on the front page of the thorpe park website until they changed it for the £29 promo.I completely disagree that they aren’t misleading people.

Well the GP love Stealth and that’s one of the shortest rides ever so I’m sure Hyperia will be fine

I always though Merlin, and the owners at M&D's, at times had the IQ of an ashtray funnily enough.
Given that Alton towers marketed Thirteen as needing a waiver to be signed due to how scary it supposedly was I think that any suggestion of false advertising on anything ever has been largely discredited.
Thorpe last year implied it should be open with the start of the season in the annual pass holder groups etc, funny i was saying it wont be ready in time and they challenged me to say it was on track. I appreciate this winter hasn't been great but it isn't out of expectation to expect poor weather in the winter.

Thorpe invited Theme Park Guide (me) down yesterday for a walk around of the park and to see Hyperia from a different side of the fence.
Its crazy how how much ride has changed the skyline.
Walking to the area from Nemesis Inferno theres a cool shot
Old Town is getting alot of work done to it. The path is gonna be jet washed soon
The catwalk steps went in yesterday, belive there all installed now but heres the first bit going in..
The maintinace bay is getting theming added to it. Notice the black pannels at the bottom
Thats one step lift hill at 45 degrees
The old Platform 15 fence has been repainted black
