Monorail really needs to speed up ops abd get 8 trains on
They don’t have 8 trains left, not likely I’m afraid.

They don’t as at least 1 has been cannibalised for parts.
Plus as has been said with the new requirement to stop trains before the plaza at Towers Street end they will never be able to run that many trains. They would have to build evacuation platforms on the bend so it won’t be cheap.
Maybe one day.
I remember six early on, one going in, one coming out of the station, and one on track, each "side".
Always one train loading at peak times, fill and away as the next headed into the station, absolute queuemuncher of a constant slow shuffle, just like Oblivion used to be when they ran that at capacity.
Don't think it ever ran any more, did it?

It used to run 7 trains at once in the 90's. I've never seen it run 8 trains before but it may have done in the 80's, but that's a bit before my timeHas it ever ran 8 trains at once? Even in the glory days I can only remember 6 going at once.

I don’t think I’d want 6 in the system without allowing people to wait on the platform, otherwise there would just be constant stacking with no meaningful capacity improvement.
Maybe some sort of automated opening and closing barrier, possibly powered by pneumatics, that would allow people to wait there safely. I wonder what you’d call them…

Nothing. It was crashed, written off, gutted for spares and the shells have recently been scrapped I believe.
So the Monorail had 9 trains at one point intresting I am not sure it can run 9Nothing. It was crashed, written off, gutted for spares and the shells have recently been scrapped I believe.

Some issue with the transfer track caused the issue.

One thing I have been surprised with the Monorail is the trains don't have a proper carriage shed could definitely use one.

Originally the 9 trains were named after the planets (at the time there were 9 planets).
They got the trains second hand from the Expo 86 in Canada so I assume they had the benefit of extra trains for maintenance. To be honest unless you paid attention you wouldn’t notice the difference between the trains you got back then as they all looked the same.

I am questioning if they are doing the same thing to the Monorail this year as they did overhaul each like in 2008Originally the 9 trains were named after the planets (at the time there were 9 planets).
