2025: Toxicator - General Discussion

I wonder how soaked we are gonna get on it I know people said Ripsaw was a big soaker in of itself. I am not so sure though if it is a good idea to hit the gondola again wasn't that the reason Ripsaw had its live reduced significantly
Pretty much every Topspin ever built features fountains, even some of the traveling ones. The ride was all but designed to use them. I don't think water damage was the primary reason they got rid of Rpisaw.

I have been on it today and am soaked through to the skin. It is not warm enough today to be getting this wet. Ruined it. And also pretty much ruined my day.

There is no warning on the ride (that I spotted) that today is a soaking day. If there had been I would've given it a miss

Have they added lids on the baggage cages now? Can't see it ending well if they haven't

Is the weather nice down in Staffordshire, then? Based on my surroundings, I was initially staggered that they’d turn the water jets on today of all days, but I am currently driving on the motorway through Scotland, where it’s 15 degrees and hammering down with rain, so I may not be the best judge…

It is a shame if they have made it a soaker. It would certainly put me off doing it on a soaker day, for one.

It's a f*ING freezing Matt. The sun comes out occassionally and it's nice, but it's not 30 degrees which in my opinion is the minimum temperature for water rides
That’s interesting to know…. clearly it’s not just being in Scotland skewing my view of the temperature! It seems an odd choice to turn the fountains on today of all days if it’s not particularly warm in Alton… I must admit I share your sentiment regarding optimal water ride temperature!

I wouldn’t mind a bit of a splash to add to the experience, but that video looks like you’re just having a sustained blasting of the face. I think I’d decline 😂

I was on one end so didn't get a face full but did get a lap full. That was at 1030ish and I'm still not quite dried out despite sitting in the sun for an hour

It’s around 24 degrees in the area today, photos and videos don’t do the temperature justice as it’s so humid. Love to see that they’re making use of its potential as a water ride, it fills a gap in the park lineup perfectly!

When Ripsaw used to soak you did you know whether it was going to or not. Also they have driers to help out a bit.

My recommendation do Congo River Rapids, Battle Galleons and Toxicator when waters on all at the same time
