it’s hard to get pics but had a look yesterday through the gap in the fence and pretty much everything other than the station has been removed from the ride now.

One positive in all of this - GSG is now going to offer a premium viewing experience of the construction taking place.

Maybe that’s why the layout is being shortened in the first place, they didn’t want enthusiasts taking overhead shots of the kids coaster and overtaking the ride from actual families…One positive in all of this - GSG is now going to offer a premium viewing experience of the construction taking place.

New ART coaster has opened in Germany, really unique kiddie coaster and has a similar footprint to what has been proposed for Postman Pat’s site. Obviously there would have to some planning trickery with the track, a bit like they did with The Smiler but I think it would be different enough from Octonauts as a coaster.
Not sure why it would be an altered layout for a kids coaster in a planning document, but the fact this was first announced via social media and not the planning application like usual definitely suggests they were more than aware of people seeing and guessing with the plans.

This would be a welcome addition to the park. Enough intensity to serve as the perfect entryway to the rest of the park for younger riders.

I know it feels pretty much nailed on that this new coaster will be Bluey themed.
But seeing the return of Balamory to CBeebies channel in 2026 did make me wonder….
I don’t think it’ll be for this coaster, but they would be mad not to capitalise on this at the park in some way, the hype is pretty big given the nostalgia the original series has for a lot of people who are now at the age of having their own children.
Edit: in fact, Postman Pat’s van > Edie McRedie’s minibus?

Yup, it’s totally going to have huge nostalgia appeal with the…
…five year old kids - that’ll garuntee success won’t it?
It’s not for the kids, it’s for the parents, really.

There is clearly some trickery with the track in the planning document. There is a turn that looks extremely sharp and not a curve at all. Would make a lot of sense if there is a helix missing at that point.

When the new plans were submitted, I had noticed that kink in the track had been introduced, but had put it down to a drafting error. But interestingly, having taken another look, the actual shape of the coaster is different, the top of the lift hill and first drop do not align between the two sets of plans.

It would be weird that the coaster layout was changed accidentally between the submissions, as you would think it should have been a simply a case of dragging and dropping the existing design. So it would seem that more was going on behind the scenes at that point, beyond the maintenance shed being removed and the ride being relocated to the centre of the site.

Are we shore that maintenance building was a maintenance building and not somewhere a spike could go with indoor themingWhen the new plans were submitted, I had noticed that kink in the track had been introduced, but had put it down to a drafting error. Could it be Merlin saw the Universal plans and are pre-emptively building a record breaking coaster spike, housed in a building disguised as a tree to thwart the planning regulation and local opposition, all located in CBeebies land?
