Paultons Park: General Discussion

As deserved all those awards are which is pretty much a clean sweep, the cynic in me does notices how it highlights how poor the competition in the UK market which I'm sure if half of the other parks were competent then I'm certain Paultons may have not had such a landslide victory.

Personally think some of those awards should of gone to other parks best park for toddlers probably should be Gulivers or Twinlakes which are 2 great children's parks.

And best use of an IP think Thomas Land at Drayton is better than Peppa Pig Land as an IP.

Just my personal opinion but Paultons do deserve the other awards

I dunno, I'm been to Thorpe Park and was mostly impressed (shame about some of the guests) but Paultons, remember, in less than fifthteen years has been building from virtually the ground up (while Merlin is trying to maximise profits with stuff 25+ years old, but at the last minute trying inject juice back into moribund assets, almost like the theme park equivalent of Themes Water).

Does it? None of the winners for Best Content Creator attended either.

As far as I'm aware, because the awards are for the parks individually, only their representatives usually attend anyway.
They only got back into London yesterday morning.
I’m suprized they won as this year Digital Dan and uk theme parks have been so much better.

Anyway back on topic if it ain’t a rapids ride and they just built a log flume that gets you wet could it be like a splash battle ride.

Love the idea although a Splash Battle would take up a fairly compact footprint I'd say.

For the site of the Go Karts alone, that would be enough for a Splash Battle however it seems to include a larger area with unused land to the south of the Go Karts site. It would make sense considering that Mack makes Splash Battles.

It definitely would make sense for it to be some form of splashdown water ride (or a rapids) considering the size of the site.

A Splash Battle is the most realistic of the proposals I've seen. Although some are compact, they can be done on a larger scale. Angkor at PortAventura is a good example of this.

A Splash Battle is also the most inclusive of the suggestions, considering that the area will have three rides which could be classified as "thrill".

That’s such a small park-reasoned and horrific possibility I’m rocked.

Surely at this point though a park as sensible as Paultons can see past the “possibility” and the fact people don’t want it for 90% of the year?

They’re on to a good thing, don’t blow it with a splash battle for gods sake.
