Surely they aren't going to include ICON on the bog standard £15 speedy pass? That would be way too tempting and popular which would make the whole thing redundant anyway.

One shot on the £25 pass and unlimited on the £50 one seems a better idea even if you're appalled by the thought as I am.

I certainly won't be buying one that's for sure.

I sure there will be some form of paid jump system from very early on, it will be a bolt on, as I believe the term is known, probably another tenner I imagine.
My knees would not take a two hour queue on a repeat basis...too fat...too old.

Icon will be a 'bolt on' speedy pass, probably a one shot fast pass at an extra £10 or £15 at least.

For anyone visiting BPB for the first time I do recommend doing the likes of Nickelodeon Streak, Steeplechase and Skyforce early on to avoid any long waiting for them, if you catch Big One on two trains then the queue will fly by for you.

Hi guys. Just been told by my parents that as we can't get to Florida until 2019, they will take me to BPB for the first time this summer! Icon was the perfect excuse to go in 2018! I'm super excited, but I'm not really sure what to expect, so I was wondering if you guys could give me some tips for a first time visitor to BPB? Anything is appreciated, whether it's about which rides to prioritise or whether it's about where to stay! I've asked on CoasterForce Forum as well, and there seem to be quite a few seasoned BPB visitors on here, so I'm hoping that between the two, I can develop a good idea of what to expect and do.

To add to what others have said....

* Get there before the park opens to avoid the worst of the queues at the ticket office. So on a 10am start I would aim to get there at 9.30am if it is going to be a busy day. You won't get in the park till 10am but at least it means you will be on the park as soon as it opens.

* Valhalla is a must for a first timer but as already mentioned you will get very wet. Try and avoid the front seats, especially the front left which is the worst seat of all. Buy a poncho and cover up as much as you can, and try and keep your feet off the floor. Alternatavely take a full change of clothes instead and just get soaked !!

* Lockers can be handy (especially if you are taking a change of clothes). They are located in the toiliets opposite the alice ride and to the left when you have entered the park. They are around £4 for all day use I think.

* Expect a bumpy ride on almost all the coasters - All part of the fun.

* Apart from the coasters most of the family rides are well worth riding. The only one I would not bother with unless there is no queue would be impossible.

* If you decide to ride on Grand Prix then then remember that it is the slowest moving queue on the park and a queue fully over the footbridge could mean an hour plus wait.

* Speedypass is very good value if queues are big, but I would use the mobile version if you have a smart phone www.speedypassmobile.co.uk as that is usually £10 instead of £15 if you hire the machine. And for a tenner you should save queuing for at least half a dozen rides on even the busiest of days.

* Enjoy it, it is still the best park in the UK :)

First time visitor and y'all suggesting he not ride Valhalla in the front row without a poncho, madness I say...

Or a change of clothes.

Definitely need a change of clothes with no poncho on the front left seat.

Unless of course you happen to go on the one day in the decade that happens to be hot in Blackpool !!

What? Has this been the case for any other Mack coasters anywhere in the world?

I wonder if they're going to have a surly German batching, so he can look you up and down and flatly say "Reihe Zehn." for the full MACK experience :p
