What do you consider a “good” ride count at a theme park?

Looking back at a Europa Park trip a few years ago, I got 52 rides (and saw the parade) across 2 days. Crucially, this trip was totally relaxed and included quite a few coffee breaks. Whilst EP is massive, the attractions are densely packed so as long as you don’t go a totally inefficient route around the park it’s quite easy to achieve a decent ride count there.

I’d say my average at most parks is around 15-20 and I’d come away disappointed if it was ever less than 10.

While you have to play the cards you're dealt, I don't think you should have to be at Alton at 9AM to get a decent ride count in. Arriving at the park between 10 and noon now seems more reasonable if the park is open until 7 or 8PM, as is fortunately more often the case these days.

Honestly I think I'd MUCH prefer to get there early anyway and get in the 'big' ones in before they get too busy - you can always use the busy period in the middle of the day to lie on the grass and catch up lost sleep!

Really depends on the park. At Towers or Thorpe there is no motivation for me to get as many rides in as possible, I prefer a more relaxed approach to the day. Having said that, 5 would still be a disappointing day out. At Towers we've usually done Rita, Thirteen, Nemesis, Galactica and Duel in the first hour or so.

This is why Europa Park is the best in the world. It's so easy to get 20+ rides without really trying.

A minimum expectation once time for lunch/snacks/toilet is also taken into account is one ride an hour I think.
But on quieter days with shorter hours its easily still possible to do better as queues are shorter even if the hours are short.
That is an absolute minimum, if there are enough filler rides and decent operations it should easily be possible to do more.

I don't think I've ever left a park really feeling like I missed out and got a low ride count. Except maybe Magic Mountain where we didn't get on their flying coaster.

In theory if you wanted to see just how insane a ride count you can get there are a handful of rides at Europa Park that are always walk on. Anyone up for a day long Bench marathon?

Honestly sounds like something I'd do at some stage. Think the most chaining I've done was 24 on Nemesis.

I remember reading a trip report from someone who did over 100 rides in a 6 or 7 hour day at BPB, at least 50 of which were on the Mouse. That would have a been an off-peak weekday when you could probably do Mouse 30+ times in an hour if you were mad dedicated enough.

I remember when it was constantly rumoured Rollercoaster at Blackpool Pleasure Beach was going to close for good think one Sunday afternoon I clocked up 30+ rides. Think a few people got even more goes on it when the park started midweek operations.

Done most of the BPB coasters a dozen times in an hour on an off peak day when "in the mood".
On a routine Sunday morning, six different rides, one beer, one chips in two hours.
Even in the summer holidays.
