It's that time once again - Celebrity Deaths is back for its 2026 edition! :D

Same rules apply as usual.
  1. You must pick 20 celebrities who you think will die during the course of 2026.
  2. You can't pick anyone who's famous purely for being old.
  3. No changes to lists are allowed once they're submitted. The only exception to this is if someone on your list dies between you submitting your list and the game going live at midnight on Thursday 1st January 2026.
  4. If you can include what each person on your list is famous for, then that'd be appreciated. In a change to previous years, keeping them generic is the way to go. I know, it sucks, but I don't want to run the risk of getting in trouble thanks to the Online Safety Act.
  5. As I've done for the past few years, I'll have a spreadsheet set up to make it easier to work out who gets points when a celebrity dies. Not terribly relevant for you lot, but meh. :p
  6. Lists must not be submitted in the thread itself. This is to encourage people to do a bit more research into who they want on their lists instead of just taking ideas from the submissions of others. If anyone wishes to take part, then please submit your list to me via PM on the forum. :)
  7. Individuals who join Dignitas or any similar organisation are ineligible for selection for any further contests.

Think that's everything. So let's have those lists come in! :)

N.B. As usual, if anyone has any questions, please post in the thread or drop me a DM.

Do keep up you lot.

Designer Valentino has died.

As has the very interesting Erich von Daniken...author of Chariots of the Gods, pseudoscience cobblers that could have been the base for the 5d cineama attraction/indoor "park" at Blackpool Central redevelopment...I can always get a thoosie link in...that didn't happen, again.

Double thoosie link...he also designed the double failed Swiss park Mystery Park/Jungfrau in Interlaken.
That went bust twice.

Very interesting character...dodgy con who wrote the follow up book while in prison for fraud.

Sly Dunbar, reggae drummer supreme has passed away.
You will have at least one of his drum beats somewhere, sampled by many thousands of others.
Played with most of the top stars over the years.
Damn shame.
RIP

Had to look him up. For a second, I wondered if he might have been behind the infamous "Amen Break"?
But no.

A tragic loss of a national treasure.
.... And I can't help but chuckle that the MoT call this "breaking news"
