[2026] Bluey Coaster in CBeebies Land

Zierer is great and I hope Merlin tap a bit into their thrill coasters at some point. Such as the Zierer ESC orTower Coaster which are both incredibly fun.

Alton have had a Zierer coaster in the past with 4 Man Bob, 36 years ago that was removed and now we are getting a new Zierer Bluey coaster
Doesn't legoland billund have a zierer esc

Not sure what the discourse was about it not being open for March 14th. It was quite clear from looking at construction that it was never going to be ready for then

The park usually opens the new ride at the start of the season, or often enough in the past decade and a half it became a trend. 13, Shed Terry, Ice Age, Octonauts, Furchester Hotel, Go Jetters, Alton Towers Dungeon, Peter Rabbit, Spinjam, both version of Funk n Fly, Twistatron, Mixtape, Flavio's, Hey Duggee, Curse, Nemmy Reebs have all opened with the park with Wicker Man scheduled to open but park was closed by snow. Postman Pat, Cbeebies Land and The Smiler are the obvious exceptions.

In reality, we can work out that their somewhere between 3-6 weeks behind where they intended to be.

Their original estimation was that construction time would take 34 weeks. Given they started work in the first week of June, that would put it at construction complete by the end of January.

Now of course it's not an exact science as there would need to be a staging period between the end of construction and opening day, and it is likely they would always have intended for the installation of the stand-alone theming to have taken place after Feb Half Term. Plus of course there would have been some planned contingency time. But given what we know so far, I think 3-6 weeks behind the original plan is a fair estimation.

Looking at the update from Theme Park Guide today, it looks like the ride is currently about 3 weeks behind where they were hoping to be with it by this point.

I get the impression that they are currently at stage they were aiming to have reached in time for Feb Half term. i.e. more or less ready for the character models to be installed, but looking rather photogenic for the socials.

Praise where its due this looks great.

Looking like this could be one of the better themed coasters at Towers

That makes sense due to the awful prolonged wet weather we have had.

I know nothing of Bluey, but this theming is looking lovely.
*...Gives side eye to Hyperia...*
Some rides need theming to stand out others do not. Hyperia case doesn't need theming as the ride itself can stand alone as a major headliner, X2, El Toro, Expedition GeForce and Zadra don't have theming yet can still standout.

Bluey needs theming which might I add is looking mavelous. If it didn't would be quite unremarkable

Quite unremarkable in a park like Alton Towers yes, also unremarkable when the ride itself is named after said theme.

But the ride model itself, could stand on its own quite well in the right setting and park with minimal to no theming, as these models probably do already.

That is not to say it is better without theming, just a point worth pointing out.

I have to say, I do actually quite like the stencilling on the station. It's really nice!
