2026: General Discussion

.

Until the place changes hands, this circus will just continue and get worse. I’ll be intrigued to see what/why they’ve made repairs to Swiss Cottage and the towers. Necessity or something else.
I’d love to put out into the universe that they’ll return it to a lovely little restaurant or tea room, but guessing they probably want to do work for it for more Scarefest storage or to get in with the planners.

Maybe when someone was putting the scary doll in the window for Dark Hollow they discovered what a state it was in. 😂

Didn't even spot that they've ramped the exit now. At least they've thought that through for once.
The existing exit stairs are still there I think, the ramp is separate. Now, if only there was a way to route the old exit stairs to the load platform for single riders 😛

I wonder what impact outsourcing maintenance to OCS this winter has had (if any) on what they get done this year.

Obviously paying guests couldn’t care less, but the initial upheaval of changing something like this can impact delivery. Look at the shambles the switch to Aramark was a few years back.

I doubt OCS change had much impact over closed season. Any maintenance issues are either it was never going to get done anyway or the weather.

As @rob666 has said it’s a bad winter for moss and algae so they might still be planning to get stuff cleaned this week, or the contract doesn’t cover the required work.

So much speculation over Runaway Mine Train removal over not being on the app the same app that has Battle Galleons, Congo River Rapids, Skyride and Monorail which also aren't operating over the weekend.

Don't know where it has come from

Not heard any speculation- where are you hearing this ?

The free one-shot Fastrack for Platinum MAP holders is being simplified from March 14th;

You just scan your pass at the fastrack entrance of your chosen ride. It's good to see that Carer annual passes and tickets can obtain the perk as well, if presented with the paid pass they're connected to.

RMT is back on the app.

No sign of Skyride or Rapids yet, so they may well not be ready for the start of the season on Saturday.

There’ve been some pictures floating around on socials of the skyride cable not being threaded over the wheels at one point.

How easy a fix that is I don’t know.. big stick to shove it back over them maybe

It’s not particularly difficult but if we are a week away and the Skyride wasn’t in a fit state to run then that means they haven’t done testing or training so I doubt it will be open next weekend.

I'm sure this has happened every March for the last few years, they remove a few rides from the app that are unable to open for the buyout days.
Someone posts that those rides are never to open again.
They reappear on the app and open as normal.

Rapids and Battle Galleons not opening till May, according to the app.

Monorail, Skyride & RMT all marked as closed for essential maintenance (though that might have been the case just for the buyout days, I'm not sure)

I would post a screenshot but unsure of the image policy these days.
