Six Flags Qiddiya

The Six Flag Fast Pass mystery continues.

The park now seem to be offering 3 options:

1. The Unlimited fast pass online. These seem to be extremely limited. Of the dates on sale, only 1 date has availability (previously no dates did).
2. An on the day Unlimited fast pass that includes all rides except Falcon's Flight which is a one shot.
3. An on the day Unlimited fast pass that does not include Falcon's Flight.

The on the day options are not advertised online (in English at least) but multiple visitors have cited purchasing them.

Unlimited Falcon's Flight rides are officially over. The influencers win again.

Falcon's Flight is now the world's number one ranked coaster:

I would like to call potential shenanigans on this.

Seems suspicious that it's had 1,100 ratings and only been open for a month. Velocicoaster for example has just a few hundred more votes, is in the world's theme park capital and has been open for 5 years.

Thoosie trolls or millions of $'s of oil money being thrown at Captain Coaster?!

Millions? All you need is $17 and a Claude Code subscription.

I had booked a trip there for April. Luckily I managed to get my flights fully refunded less £3 tax and was able to cancel hotels with no charge.

I imagine the FCDO will want to see some kind of cease fire in place and several weeks of no dumb drones exploding in random places before they lift the warnings. There will be a lot of pressure from the UAE to lift the warnings though when hostilities do stop.

I wonder if Saudi Arabia built Falcons Flight etc just in the nick of time, as - due to the situation in Iran and/or potentially reduced tourism in the Middle East as a result - I've heard that the PIF is thinking of scaling back some of their investments (e.g. LIV Golf and WWE)

It was always going to end up a bleached monument within a few years, just might be sooner than anticipated.

The park can’t possibly be profitable.

No idea what the take up has been from locals in Saudi but I think they were banking on international guests from US, Europe and also India to essentially make this place a success. The next year or two is essentially a write off now for tourism in that region.

Wouldn't surprise me if they even reduce the days they operate to save costs until tourism picks up again.

“It’s important to support tourism in the region so they stop discriminating against women and LGBTQ+ people” only really mattered when it came to getting a new credit. When the place also became dangerous for straight people due to the war, they stopped visiting

No they stopped visiting because the government are advising against it and your travel insurance would probably not be valid if anything happened out there. Costs a lot of money to get there after all.

Because it's not safe for anybody now, including straight people....

This doesn't invalidate @tayspru's post at all, if anything it just reinforces the hypocrisy. Especially your final point about it costing "a lot of money to get there after all".
